He's not mainline, he's some kind of exclusive (though I don't remember where). Like Road Rage and Runabout being exclusives while also being in normal packaging.

Its even worse than Road Rage and Runabout because these are exclusive to Walmart. Just great...

Makes me super glad to have Pulse Premium, when those go up on Pulse with the limited stock like the other walmart items, I will grab and hopefully avoid the walmart trap

They need to keep this same energy for the Velocitron stuff that's coming.

Ya know, I had kinda forgotten that that line was going to be walmart exclusive, and unlike the netflix line it has stuff I know I will want, so unlike netflix I may have to actively try to find this stuff.

Hey man, I want that Black Convoy more than you can know, more even then Cosmos. I'm not going to want to leave it to chance that I can pre-order it on Walmart.com - the desolate place that is when it comes to pre-orders.

I too really want Black Convoy, and I will probably try for Burnout, Override, and I think maybe 1 more? I can't remember the full leak list at the moment

Interesting to see they're regular exclusives. Still intending to get I think all 3 of these? I keep flip-flopping on Buzzsaw, but I'm sold on the other 2.

I gotchu:
Deluxe: Burn-Out, Clampdown (and the Selects one may be cancelled, no double-release like Deep Cover), Cosmos, Road Rocket, Blurr (rumored to be Armada Blurr)
Voyager: Override, Hauler
Leader: Black Convoy

Personally I'm going for Scourge, both Voyagers, Blurr if the rumor is accurate, and the Diaclones & Road Rocket are a wait-and-see.

I likely won't pick up any of these, but I still think Buzzsaw looks quite nice. The color gradient on his legs is especially cool.

I wouldn't say up in the air, it's basically confirmed he'll be either Siege or Kingdom since that's how he looked in the comic and everyone else who previously had a different SG design are now redecos of their WFC selves

Except for Blurr so there's already a precedence for using molds outside of WFC and SS86 Blurr is still being restocked in stores so it has nothing to do with the age of a mold. Current molds and molds outside of WFC are clearly acceptable!

It was specifically the Siege mold in Issue #5 of the comic.

It was specifically the Siege mold in Silhouette in issue #1 as well.

Still don't see how this means anything, like, at all. They'll most likely be doing another comic series to go with the new wave leaving plenty of room to explain a new body. Original SG Magnus' story showed that he also started with the G1 body, how is doing that again this time around such a stretch?

Look, I'm not going to be super disappointed if they do go with the Siege or ER body, but personally I'd prefer UM in Delta Magnus colors to be Delta Magnus complete with the right faction symbols.

Sabrblade wrote:They spelled Buzz Saw's name as one word "Buzzsaw" instead of two.

Most likely they already had it in the books and didn't see the point in grabbing a similar trademark just for a space in the middle.

Tuned Agent wrote:I likely won't pick up any of these, but I still think Buzzsaw looks quite nice. The color gradient on his legs is especially cool.

I was really excited to see that the first time around, but the paint looks better on the other two now than they did in the lower quality leak photos. Nightprowler has retained Cheetor's white patches and Sandstorm has a gradient across his bot chest and scorpion back that doesn't appear to be the same as Scorponok's. Very happy they didn't skimp on the paint for these.

Right, I misremembered. But my point still stands. He wasn't always in the Reveal the Shield body in the original story so why does him showing up in a WFC body in the new comics now mean he can't be written into a new body later? The argument just doesn't make sense to me in a line that really seems to want to make toys as close as possible to the originals.

That's not what this is though. Megatron and Bumblebee had much more accurate molds to choose from (Galvatron and Hot Rod) and they still went with G1 redecos

And why shouldn't they? This isn't FunPub's Shattered Glass, but a new version with different rules. Had they gone with molds or designs semi-accurate to the original FunPub concept, it would have been broken even before the first release in the Shattered Glass line. The culprit? The Mad Doctor Ratchet:

Image

He's all the way in the back, as a redeco of Energon Roadblock who was inspired by Grapple (tho he should have been scrubs green as originally intended). So he should have been a redeco of ER Grapple and not ER Ratchet if we're going by the desired rules.

Legacy Laser Optimus Prime being redecoed for SG Ultra Magnus isn't... completely out of the cards mind you, but given the current trends of using same-character molds, very unlikely.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Except then they'd have one Deluxe, two Voyagers (one at higher price), a Leader at a higher price point and a Commander. They went with Deluxe Goldbug because they already had the head sculpted for the Cliffjumper mold. If they did the Galvatron mold they'd still have to add additional parts to get the look they were aiming for, otherwise he'd still only look the part in one mode and then we'd have two expensive figures in the line instead of the one Commander.

Following that I doubt SG Ultra Magnus in the G2 body would come with the trailer and likely would be at the Voyager price point.

AcademyofDrX wrote:Isn't there already a Shattered Glass thread?

This is actually a Legacy Optimus Prime discussion heavily disguised as a SG discussion because we all love a good repaint. Frankly if they don't do SG Ultra Magnus out of this mold then I want them to do 2006 G-2 Ultra Magnus.

All the more reason that fans would love another shot at this deco with the new Legacy G2 Optimus Prime mold. Hasbro and Takara are going to make BANK from this mold, honestly. G2 Optimus Prime, G2 Ultra Magnus, Black Convoy/Scourge, Toxitron. I'll take them all, please!

Exactly. the repaint potential is huge. It shouldn't be limited just to Scourge/Nemesis. That would be a waste.

As Optimus, that deco is blah.

Repurposed as an undead, rust-covered, semi-corporeal ghost version of Scourge who serves as a divine spirit of vengeance, however, gives the deco a whole lot more sense (as about 60% of that deco is shamelessly lifted wholecloth from Scourge's deco anyway). ;)

I got an e-mail from Hasbro Pulse UK today about my Legacy pre-order, Bulkhead is now shipping out in April instead of July, so I'll have to remember to update the address in my account details to the new address I'm moving into next month before that ships. It still says July for Arcee, fingers crossed the Deluxes get moved up too, but at least I have Bulkhead to look forward to soon.

I have to say that the only Legacy toy I'm currently looking forward to is Skids.

That's it.

Based on all we've seen thus far (at least that's been newsed), Skids is the only one I'm particularly anticipating. And Bulkhead is the only other one I rate as particularly neat, just not on my "get" list. The others are all either under "Disappointing", "Waste of a slot", or "Don't know enough."

Skids is also the only one I have on preorder, and IIRC Beast Wars Inferno and Tarantulas are coming in the line as well. Those are the only ones along with maybe Blitzwing that I'll get. Though I still think Blitzwing should have been in SS86.

I'm not really sure what difference Blitzwing being in SS86 or Legacy makes. It'd still be the same toy

I think it's been well established any character.that appeared in TF:TM and was an ER, Kingdom or Legacy release is TF:TM in spirit.

The only slightly possible difference I could see is that SS in particular have a cleaner exterior and fewer 5 mm ports. For example, had Cyclonus, Galvatron, or Rodimus been SS86 as opposed to Kingdom, they would probably have fewer 5mm ports, and a cleaner finish, but that's not really a big deal.

ER Starscream was re relased in SS86 with minimal tooling and paint differences, and some extra "stuff" to make it a leader.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

Which also canceled his Kingdom rerelease.
