You mean Titan Return's Black Shadow?
Hhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.................
TW as a commander would be a freaking giant so nope.
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Well, I don't think it's just SS86 Sweep that nixed that. I think it's SS86 Sweep together with the fact that they already gave us a Lazy Halfassed Fracas back when they did the Phantomstrike set.
It is true that the light blue on SS86 Sweep isn't really an exacting match for the original toy's light blue (Scourge's sticker details are ugly so I'm not counting those as "goodness")

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

We already got those in the Prime Wars trilogy. If you missed them, they (or at least quality bootlegs of them) aren't too bad on eBay price-wise.sol magnus wrote:I wonder what Rock 1 and Rock 2 are...
Most importantly, of course, is Gears! Now, we just need a few more pipeline reviews for Windcharger, Seaspray and Powerglide to have all the 84-85 Autobots in modern form. We need Buzzsaw for the Decepticons.

Knees and elbows FTW
Thing is, we've got two "Rock 1" figures - one at Core class and one at Deluxe. If that means they're the same character, Idk that they'd do that for Lithonians.Jelze Bunnycat wrote:sol magnus wrote:I wonder what Rock 1 and Rock 2 are...
1. Rock Lords? I don't know, TakaraTomy may be hesitant as they were featured in Machine Robo, both the toy line and animes.
2. Lithonians. Remember, they were originally conceived as living rocks, with the Greek lithos meaning "rock", "Arblus" being based on marble and "Granix" on granite.
3. Rock Bot. 'Nuff said.
No idea. Speaking of Gears though, I wonder...Jelze Bunnycat wrote:Also, what is it with the thought of Gears being tied to Brawn?

Both minibots that turn into truck/off-road type vehicles? Engineering could be similar or even shared, like Huffer and Pipes.Jelze Bunnycat wrote:what is it with the thought of Gears being tied to Brawn?

SpaceEagle wrote:Personally the only reason I'd collect the older Generations minibots is just because I enjoy legends class and to have their micromaster/targetmaster buddies, heh.
AFAIC? Yes, it is. The sizing is still comparable, and the ones they've been doing have been the ones who weren't covered by Prime Wars molds: Huffer/Pipes, Warpath, Cliffjumper, Cosmos, and now Gears. The only Prime Wars retread was Bumblebee, but Bumblebee's a special treatment character so...sol magnus wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:We already got those in the Prime Wars trilogy. We got several mini-bots who have been updated in Siege/Earthrise/Kingdom/Legacy style. That's not a compelling reason not to get the last three likewise updated in the next year or so.
Yes, they are. They're all around the same height as ER Cliffjumper and the altmode size and proportions are about the same, with CJ only being somewhat longer. And I mean, you didn't see sol magnus mention Brawn.Emerje wrote:ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:We already got those in the Prime Wars trilogy. I think the key phrase there is "modern form", those older figures aren't in the post-Prime Wars scale,
No, they're not. And no, they don't. Except for Powerglide, I will concede you Powerglide. But the others are fine.Emerje wrote:they're all too small and need the Deluxe treatment.

Thrilling 30 Cosmos fits the bill for that, and he got re-released in Titans Return.-Kanrabat- wrote:I would really love a Core Class Cosmos.

Finally it took soome doing to get the head "inside" correctly with fear of scratching any paint. I fear any future transformations may do just that.![]()
