With Hound, we've known about him for over a year, then Detritus name came up later.

With TR Sentinel & Skyshadow, the toys came out first, and fans just drew correct conclusions that these were pretools for the characters they were obviously made for.

As for your question, the difference is you are comparing regular retail releases that are planned by Hasbro to exclusive releases that are planned by retailers. The delay for SS86 Hound is due to Target's scheduling, just as Velocitron Hot Rod's current cancellation is due to Walmart's scheduling.

Why is as Hound dependent on Target? Would he not be mass retail?

Hound was leaked as part of a Buzzworthy Bumblebee two-pack that included Hatchet. As far as I recall, it's not clear if that release has been delayed or cancelled, but Hasbro has said that he's still coming.

I dont *think* it was a 2-pack, I think it was just 2 seperate deluxe releases. Based on what we know now from missing numbers it would likely be:

94 DotM Hatchet &
86-18 TF:TM Hound

If Target decided to drop their exclusivity for these in the Buzzworthy line, hopefully Hasbro can adjust to make them standard mass retail releases at some point. One additional point though. Because they would only be *exclusive* in the United States to Target, other parts of the world it wouldn't matter. If it was just target holding them back, one would think they would have seen release in other parts of the world by now.

All stock is made at once. If Target chooses not to make these exclusives as part of their schedule then they don't go into production, so no one gets it. That's what happened with Hot Rod.

And I do hope the plan changes so Hound is a regular, mainline release.
I would’ve thought he could’ve landed in the SS86 line-up.
As far as we know, Sunstreaker is the only other deluxe right now, and of course we don’t know what else will be released under SS, but two ‘86 movie deluxes in a year isn’t what I’d call a lofty expectation.
If he ends up in Legacy, so be it. As long as he isn’t canceled.

I gave Tarn a second chance and I used a video to CAREFULLY transform him.

I really ham-handed my previous copy badly and Tarn turn out to be not so bad.

I feel like SS86 Hound was put in Buzzworthy Bumblebee probably to avoid what happened with both Siege and Netflix Hound, in that both of them were severe shelf-warmers that just would not go away from retail store pegs for the longest time.

And speaking of not worrying, I think it's a safe bet that with the Detritus (sp?) release happening, this newly re-tooled (or new?) mold is going to be used for Hound, as well as another character within the next year or so.
If Target doesn't want it in Buzzworthy, then I'm assuming Hastak will get it sorted and still get this released. This would be a good G1 figure to have in the mix of Legacy or SS86.

The Netflix didn't had much deco difference. Plus it came out at the same time the regular Siege Hounds were clogging the shelves.

Even if it's not going to be part of Buzzworthy Bumblebee any more, that Earth mode Hound definitely will happen one day. Who knows? It may even pop up at a Target one day soon without warning, and then Hasbro will rush out an awkward official reveal and pre-order like they did with Tow-Line. Either way, I don't think it'll be cancelled entirely.

I am slightly worried that I'll miss the boat on Powerlinx Hot Shot once it's available, while it's still too far out to know if I'll be working on the day of Pulsecon, I am concerned that Powerlinx Hot Shot will sell out within seconds of going up on Pulse, or something dumb will happen like the site crashes because so many people are ordering stuff all at once. Of course I have no idea exactly how high demand this set will be, but I do still have my worries.

So I spent top dollar on a Tarn figure seeing how it's on the same path as Cosmos and Motormaster....that being said I hope I don't see a restock like BBTS did for Motormaster but knowing my luck.

Legacy 2 pack Deadeye Duel review!

My Armada Optimus Prime arrived yesterday and I've been fiddling around with him. I wouldn't go as far as saying he's a mainline masterpiece or the best toy in Legacy or anything as many others have said, but I do like him just fine, and he looks great alongside my other Legacy Autobots. I'd say the vehicle mode is my favourite of his various modes, but I'm displaying him in regular robot mode. He's got me excited to own Powerlinx Hot Shot, and I do hope more Armada characters are on the way too. Wheeljack is basically guaranteed, but I also have my fingers crossed for Demolishor and Jetfire.

That review really didn't do it for me in weather I want both figs or just one or the other!

The latest figures in he Transformers Legacy line are coming out in Asia (Hong Kong), so we now have in hand images of Bludgeon and Trashmaster. We can even see how Trashmaster can be used as a weapon for other figures. Speaking of the Legacy line, fans have been getting their hands on the new figures in the IDW subline that is exclusive to Amazon in the US. So we have in hand images of Nova Prime, Nacelle and the Deadeye Duel 2 pack. Regarding that last one, we also have a video review. Having the original Cybertron Optimus Prime, I was never interested in the Siege version. But that Nova Prime make it well worth it to get due to all the differences.

Brawn and Nova Prime are definitely on the list.

I got my pre orders in for LE wave 4. I thought the developers said that core Slug would be offered again in that wave? I have one but need one more for a friend....the link hasn't.been updated on Amazon as far as I can tell

When a figure that has a long sword in their arsenal why the hell can't they be engineered to stance just like this and not just wielding with only one hand? Proper!!!

I have my pre-orders in for what I want from wave 7, thankfully Shadow Striker will be ready to ship from the 4th and Dreadwing from the 10th so I won't have to wait too long for either, but Bombshell won;t be shipping until September which is a bit of a shame. I'm still undecided on Strongarm, but seeing how unpopular that figure seems to be I don't imagine she'll sell out quickly so I have some time to think about it.

Considering how the other repacks in Legacy have gone up, I imagine that Slug will come back in stock/just suddenly appear once the rest of the wave has reached the point of being in-stock.
