Been able to resist the urge to buy SG Trypticon Jr, and Greymon, but not sure I can resist buying Barney's sad cousin.

That is why I referred to the option of a "Blue" G2 Grimlock as Barney's SAD cousin. "Sad" also normally referred to as "being blue".

And it looks like Medix has also revealed to us which mold will be used to make Walmart Cannonball, since Medix comes with a new front bumper piece that's designed to look like Armada Red Alert's truck grill, complete with a faux rescue winch sculpted in.

That's the exact same chest piece from Crankcase, though, who Medix is mostly a redeco of (though he has the Burnout/Crosscut head).

That is the same front bumper piece from Crankcase, so not new, but they could have easily put that deatils in originally for Armada Red Alert/Cannonball.

A great day for those of you who've been anticipating this figure- the Walgreens exclusive figure for this year's Legacy Evolution line is Medix, and he's now available on Hasbro Pulse!

Medix is a character from the Rescue Bots cartoon who's been brought into the Legacy universe via a G1-ified version of the character. This isn't the first version of "G1 Medix" to get a toy, though- that honor went to the Botcon 2016 Custom Class toy, which was a repainted and redecoed Combiner Wars First Aid. This version, however, uses Legacy Crankcase as a base, while borrowing the head from the Burnout version of the mold.... and Legacy Elita One's weapons. Interestingly, he's only labeled as "Autobot Medix" on his box, and doesn't carry a "Rescue Bots Universe" tag like his fellow Rescue Bots character, Chase, who will be released in Legacy United next year.

As of 12:30 MST, Medix is still available on Pulse, though isn't showing up on Walgreens website just yet. Snag your copy by clicking the link at the beginning of this story.

It was available for months at GameStop and it's now available at my local geek store as well.

Right, but only in the States. When Pulse offers their copies of these exclusives, they generally time their release to when the US retailer is offering them. Walgreens is usually a little behind compared to the others, though.

Guys at Gamestop joked that they were happy when the last one sold. Very strange situation. Tale of two nations.

Now the independent geek stores in Canada can now order the overstock that GameStop didn't order. They sell them full price, of course.

One of the rare occasions the UK got him before the US.

Picked him up on a whim months ago from Pulse.

He's pretty good, colours are nice in hand. Joints on ours didn't show any mold over-use issues, but the weapons were a little loose.

Actually I thought that in the past, Pulse doesn't open up their offers until everything has been delivered to the exslusive retailer, not when the retailer puts them out. Kingdom Red Alert was available on Pulse in August 2021 (I ordered Aug 19th to be exact), after delivery to Walgreens, but before Walgreens put them out for Christmas. I missed out on pre-orders for Minerva last year, so I don't remember how early she was released.

I was really suprised that Pulse waited so long this year and wonder if that was on the request of Walgreens so they didn't have a bunch of grown men stalking multiple stores for months leading up to the Christmas reset (like I did for the TR Clones, and PotP Wreck gar before I realized I had to wait for Christmas in the days before Pulse existed).

It's a damn shame that the flaws on Crankcase exist with Medix such as loose joints and parts not tabbing in secure like sooooooo it's an unfortunate pass for me since I really wanted him.

Well crap and/or yay. Amazon is playing musical ship dates again this time with Legacy United wave 1. Prime, Thundertron and Magneous got moved up to December 8th or 10th. Of course right after ordering Armada Prime, Thunder Machine Soundwave and Titan Nemesis within the last 10 days and heading right into Christmas. Oof. I'll likely cancel Magneous knowing he should be the most likely of the 3 to be gotten on sale later, possibly Thundertron too. Prime always sells well, so I'm hanging onto him and he'll go under the tree.

They're supposed to be delivered on the 9th and 10th even though they're supposed to be in-stock tomorrow. I'm really thinking about just canceling my orders and quiting the hobby. I'm that disgusted.

I don't know, that actually sounds like a nice step up over the people I usually see stalking around Walgreens.
