Can anybody here tell me what the deal is with Legacy Armada Wheeljack's shoulder rocket?

Why is it now not a 5mm peg? And only, has like 0.5mm of 5mm peg grip for the launcher section to hold on to?

I see the peg now fits the rear side of most effects parts, but its meaningless, since you can't connect the other side of the effects part to the launcher.

The OG Armada Wheeljack never had a launcher just his missiles / clubs so I could just stick the launcher in a drawer, but I find it kind of odd they decided to modify that specific piece.

Was it remodeled for SG Sideswipe too? Or any of the other uses of the Sideswipe mold? Seems very odd.

Yup, they did.
It was also done with the "G2 sunset" Sideswipe.

An answer was recently given by TakaraTomy reps last month at Cybertron Con 2024. The missile's peg was redesigned to make it so it can no longer be plugged into the hole at the top of Sideswipe's car mode roof, as apparently children were plugging it in there for storage and then accidently stepping on it barefooted, causing the missile to impale the underside of their bare feet.

It never occurred to me to do that. So this means that some of my Sideswipes will have a "party hat" in car mode.

First up, I really do like how Dinoking came out. Pretty incredible the Hasbro hands and feet are better than the DNA upgrade

toy Prime and Slipstream arrived. I adore both

Toy Prime is the star to me, though I would rather they have added the toy sticker details instead of included the axe

Also got a $30 Armada Galvatro. Still pretty lame, but I like him more than Megatron

Motormaster still rules

Sandstorm was definitely my figure of the year, this guy was just so good

I got the powermaster upgrade kit for animated Prime, and wow, this set is perfect for the figure. Great result

Also got my G2 Breakdown, lovely colors on this guy

Maybe I should create a thread for it, but I think the WFC/LG Sideswipe family is just a PERFECT mold.

I just got my Armada Wheeljack last week as well. It really is a great mold. I have them all except for Netflix Sideswipe and Red Alert. They just weren't different enough from the siege versions for me. I didn't need an extra crispy version of either one. I did get both Deep Covers because I like the color inversion for the Netflix one.

I'm kind of hoping they decide to re-issue Gigawatt for the 40th anniversary.

I skipped him originally, and am kicking myself for it.

Also, I'd be all in for a Gobot Sideswipe in metallic blue and highlighter green.

Got my Armada Wheeljack. He is neat, but i desperately wish he still had the minicon. He's just sort of eh by himself.

Animated Bee is still a darling of mine in the line, I adore the sass he gives off

I am also still very impressed with Cybertron Starscream's posing

It's also amazing how much the DNA kit adds to Motormaster

Squeezeplay is also proving to be surprisingly fun

Blokees Defenders Bee also goes surprisingly well with Legacy Wheeljac

I still can't believe people were hating on Animated Bee just because his feet were too small. I still need to get Motormaster, I have the DNA kit pre-ordered on BBTS. All of these Animated figures have been great for the most part (sorry Prowl), looking forward to Wasp!

I finally got the "shuttle covers" for both my Siege/LG Astrotrain and my LG Galaxy Shuttle. Those things are a perfect fit for the shuttle mode and can even be used for the bot modes, obviously. And by cheating with a small gun, it can also be plugged onto the tender.

Expensive parts, but oh so worth it.

Hopefully the issues they had with the first production on these aren't repeated as Amazon exclusives. Nova Prime right now is in the secondary market for 3 to 4 Benjamins at least so this is a good re-release for him.
