Out of all the Titans Omega Supreme is the only one that bums me out about missing it. Not like it was HTF or anything I was just procrastinating due to price and it being the Siege look. So it really is my own fault for missing my chance hoping for a sale but when it happened he sold out rather quickly towards the end. And if it were still 2019 era of things I'd hope for a reissue or slight deco repaint, now days it would be $200 or more due to the times we live in so no interest in that as I struggled with the $170. lol

Not to mention I really don't have the space for such large items which in part played in the role of me waiting the first time around.

We know. Hasbro was very explicit about that in the Fan First Tuesday livestream.

Exactly. I was watching the event live. The chat comments were brutal, and the presenters moved on very quickly, just a quick mention because it wasn't a new toy. As stated the roundtable earlier this week clarified the reasons why.

Also, unpopular opinion, but I prefer Siege Soundwave over ER Soundwave. The cassette deck alt mode is stupid and outdated, and even if Siege Soundwave's alt mode looks dumb, at least it's functional and requires no mass shifting

I'm with you, but with a twist. I bought the 3D printed shoulders upgrades to be able to make the "Cybertronian tapedeck mode", making this Soundwave a triple changer. (3.5 changer if you count the lampost mode).

So this is the perfect Cybertronian Soundwave for me. As for the tapedeck ones, I got the Core, G1, MP, and TR. The Netflix is just the Siege modded so it's redundant.

Not so much unpopular than that we don't bring it up often enough. While it was already said that with additional pieces it can be turned into a tape deck, I still couldn't care less about that. Especially now that those kits no longer have the 5mm ports on them anymore. I nave Netflix Soundwave though only because I was able to find it and I would've regretted not getting it. But he now sits in my extras box instead of being with the rest of the Decepticons like Siege Soundwave.

I even said recently that I want a new Blaster and Twincast that have vehicle modes to go with my Soundwave and Soundblaster. I think both (all four?) characters should have some sort of a vehicle based third mode added to their designs permanently so that every toy of them from here on out will have both the tape player mode and a vehicle mode of some sort. Not unlike Perceptor in that regard even though the concept behind Perceptor's third mode comes from something else entirely. Even if it's all just some stupid things like making Blaster a mini-Metroplex carrier type thing or something. Just have a few wheels flip out from his legs and peg them together, put his head away and sit him down on said wheels with his chest opening up onto his legs like Metroplex' chest ramp. Soundwave can still be a space ship of some sort or just a box on wheels like some of his other wheeled vehicle modes.

And while I hate the Siege paint jobs, I think the only one I would get a "clean" or "better" version of would be Apeface. I think that as a Titan Master gimmick figure, his having the battle damage is most egregious as not a single other Titan Master gimmick figure has any battle damage paint at all. Not even Snapdragon or Scorponok have any from Earthrise. If Legacy Minerva is compatible she most likely won't have any either. Looks like Diaclone Topspin and Twintwist won't as well. And if they do redo Apeface, I hope it's not a one to one otherwise though and that they change that white plastic to something less translucent and maybe a better shade. It also should "feel" better too but what does that even mean? I'm not sure, I just don't like the way that white plastic feels especially when you need to move pieces past pieces for the jet and beast modes. Oh and while it's not likely, get rid of that translucent blue plastic even if it means the cockpit won't have it. Not that he can see out of the cockpit anyway with the rear wing/shield over top of it though and even if it weren't there he's still not seeing out of it like the cockpit on TR Optimus/Octane but I digress. With the translucent plastic gone, his shield peg will be less likely to break.

I'm happy with Netflix Soundwave since there was never really a good tapedeck Soundwave until that one came out. There's the music label one but it was too small and eventually a little outdated
That being said, I love my Soundblaster with the siege mold. It makes the two more distinct from one another and I love that

Now that a good g1-style Soundwave is said and done, a new alt mode would be nice. The armored/communications SUV idea seems best. Of course, legacy Blaster proves that Soundwave can still be done better but it's time to move on from that for a bit.

Really happy with Blaster too, what would a vehicle alt mode for him be? Also some sort of communications SUV? An RV or something?

They were Cybertronian, but we've already had Soundwave and Blaster vans back in the video game tie-in, plus Soundwave vans in Animated and a Bumblebee movie kids toy. We don't need more G1 versions of those guys in new alt modes IMO, I'd much rather get other universe versions of Soundwave in Generations, like Machine Wars, Prime, or even Cybertron. They're are plenty of other alt modes among those, and then they can be redecoed into Blaster or Soundblaster.

Edit: how could I forget Cyberverse Soundwave? That should be enough.

Video game tie-in figures are already pretty dated
Animated design sucked imo, wasn't a fan
Not sure Bumblebee movie kids toy really counts for most of the collectors on this forum, doesn't really count for me. Cyberverse either. So although there have been other vans, they just weren't good

Prime Soundwave would be dope though! Pretty awesome design. Never been a fan of the machine wars design, might as well give that one a different name. Cybertron design is pretty decent, I think that was one of if not the first Soundwave figures I ever owned. The stealth bomber thing is cool and laserbeak was awesome. Headsculpt was pretty cool too

Okay but aren't those deals generally only about a year two max? Granted I'm not up an expert on exact release dates for them but it feels like that figure hasn't been on shelves in over a year. lol

And on a technicality aspect I think it's more to the fact they have the "Netflix" appearance rights, and that Hasbro could simply retool it juts enough to resemble G1 and then release in SS86.

And no offense to Hasbro but someone there has to be a complete numbskull to make VW Bee and Cassette Soundwave Exclusives in the first place, especially if they had such limited units leaving a bunch of people without. And why a popular character like Bee was ever made an Exclusives in the first place is beyond me.

With that said I would be curious to find out exactly when those Exclusivity rights expire se we can eventually get a reissue of VW Bee! And it would work in Hasbro's favor because by that time the prices will then be $30 on Deluxe Class bots!

VW Bee may have an extra hurdle with BMW. Also regarding changing Soundwave, what is there to change? He's pretty much G1 SW

Well it would just be a technical way around the Exclusivity issue by not being the exact same mold. If it's even possible, I don't know exactly how it all works. I mean truthfully it doesn't really matter to me as I don't display them in alt modes and both versions look like SW in bot mode, the downside is that if a person does want to transform them and prefers the Cassette version it's a bummer.

I'm sure it's possible to retool it just enough to be different from that figure yet still retain SW's trademark look. It's probably just not feasible for them to do so and have simply decided to wait for the rights to expire since retooling costs more than reissuing.

Omega did sorta go on sale, only at the Hasbro Warehouse sale for like $75 or some astronomically low price, then promptly went on eBay for $100+. I too was waiting for some retail sale that ultimately never happened so I had to spend over $100 on BBTS for it. Did I mention I had it paid off with Amazon GC from surveys the first time it was released?

Omega I actually passed on. While he looks nice AF he's just too big for my collection. Both in terms of my actual space and ... I think titan class is too big for him (dodges rocks). Not that he doesn't deserve it, but he should be as big as the combiners.

I like YotS Omega and I also have Energon Omega Sentinel. They're about as tall as combiners and they work with with the 3P Devys I have. Even if titan Omega is better in every conceivable way.

If I had oversized KOs of the combiners, though, Omega would be hard to say no to. Even though I don't have room for any of that ...

I snagged Iguanus from Amazon at $9.99 when he was briefly at that price yesterday. I was going to post about it in the deals thread, but the price jumped back up before I could. Should be here tomorrow which will finish off Legacy wave 1 for me.

Reuters, whose article was syndicated around, vaguebooked for headline clicks. Though not mentioned in the article, the actual investor report it's from specified this batch of increases is wizards of the coast/magic the gathering specific due to increases in tcg-related manufacturing costs, not company wide.

Like, if I seen Titan OS somewhere for $40 I'd buy him regardless if it was originally wanted or not, because that's highway robbery  That's pretty much the same reason I got the Ark. Now if only Scorponok would go on a sale like that, there's a Titan I wouldn't mind having. Metroplex too, when I was a kid Cybertron/Galaxy Force was in full swing and that was a toy I pined for but never got, so now that there's a bigger modern version and I have the power to make questionable financial decisions nothing will stop me

I too was waiting for some retail sale that ultimately never happened so I had to spend over $100 on BBTS for it. Did I mention I had it paid off with Amazon GC from surveys the first time it was released?

Sales limited to geography I don't really count, same as those who got Trypticon at Ollies for like $40. If it's not accessible to the majority of the fans, then its not something I consider as a True sale, especially since these items were high in demand, and obviously flipped on the secondary market for retail price or higher.

I mean kudos if you live near these locations and took advantage, but its not the same as say Pulse, Amazon, BBTS etc. offering something at 50% off that anyone can order online.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak
