I'm personally not gonna believe the titan rumors until we see it. Last year leakers were really vague about the Ark (well, at least vague enough until the Kingdom poster with Polar Claw was revealed), but this year one just outright says it before the line's out? Plus as Nemesis Reformatted says, the hints don't exactly line up. Coupled with some of the more out there leaks in his list, I'm hesitant to believe it to be more than a wish on his end.

Side note, Apollux talked about the rumored Bulkhead and Knock Out figures and I gotta say, my hype for these two has plummeted based on the descriptions. Bulkhead's apparently going to have a blockier aesthetic and seems to have been handled with the idea of G1ifying without really maintaining key design points, and altering his normal bulk to being "more heroic", and now being closer to AOE Hound's alt mode than either of his other two iconic ones. Knock Out meanwhile lost his shoulder spikes, wheels on his back, and he lost his curves. The headsculpt for Knock Out seems to be good, but then Apollux goes on to mention that Knock Out looks like a partial of Dead End, rather than being his own mold. Add in the rumor that apparently Armada Screamer is also a partial of a different figure, and my hope for Legacy's branching into other eras has become non-existent because it seems to come with the caveat that non-G1 characters must be G1ified, and be retooled from G1 characters

Nope, I can't stand Nick Cage. But that picture does look pretty awesome though.

He's an acquired taste. And only in small doses, and only his work in the 90s and very early 2000s.

Past that, yeah no. Stay far away from his movies.

This is a colossally bad take. Cage has gems across his entire career. Sometimes he's the best part of a good movie, sometimes he's the only interesting part of a boring movie, but the guy does the work.

There are movies like Vampire's Kiss that he gets a bad wrap for, but his performance in that is brilliant. Maybe it's not conventionally good, but it's incredible.

Will agree to disagree. Vampire's Kiss is from 1988, once of his earlier movies.

His best moment was the 90's and 2000s.Big Fan of him back then. Heck, even enjoyed the National Treasure movies. But now, its just mostly bad.

He's not making things like Leaving Las Vegas, 8MM, Lord of War. Heck even The Wicker Man for all the bad rap it gets for the bees and even Family Man.

He may have some decent stuff now, but its trapped amidst a barrage of terrible stuff.

Clicking a few random movies from 2010 to today on IMDB, nothing gets a rating above 5.5 out of 10.

But we are getting. off topic and derailing the thread.

...somebody just mentioned they could maybe retool/Selects the new Crankcase into Ironfist and now the idea won't leave my brain.

(To be clear this is wishful thinking, there is no Ironfist leak)

Fair.

william-james88 wrote:People said that Prime and Bulkhead share a mold but are we talking about Prime from the Prime series or are we talking about the Leader Prime mold we are getting in Legacy?
The initial rumor was always Bulkhead sharing a mold with a Prime Optimus, so not the Leader Class figure.

william-james88 wrote:The core class looks like that's what we are getting for the whole year. Are we 100% certain we are getting all the stunticons in 2022 or would the final two be in the next line? Because if we add them and the rumoured Nightbeat and Minerva, then I think we have too many deluxes. Unless Nightbeat or Minerva are exclusives.
Core we're missing the second rumored Pretender homage to go with Iguanus (which would bring us up to 7 Core releases to match Kingdom). For Deluxes, Minerva is rumored as a Walgreens exclusive, not mainline, but we are rumored to get the rest of the Stunticons, Hosehead, and Prime Knock Out (which would put us 1 figure below the 16 Deluxes that both Siege and Kingdom have had despite those 2 lines so far having different numbers of waves). The real question at this point, for me anyway, is what's going on with the Insecticons, as all three were rumored for SS86 and yet Kickback shows up in Legacy without room for both of the others to seemingly come with him.

Maybe not for $200, but even not considering my UT nostalgia, that's a hella unique alt mode so why not?

Not much point in laser Prime going off Earthrises primes trailer but Hasbro might have some good suprises to spring on us
Elita is rumored to be a retool of something/someone with sirens, so she's likely not an Animated homage, and Laser Prime is supposed to have a completely new trailer.

Pragmatically, since the original toy and show model were so alike, they ought to just make it an upscaled version of the original with more articulation.

The original has pretty much all the articulation you need except for wrist swivels and ankle tilts which weren’t a thing at that point.

Hands opened and closed, shoulders, elbows, bicep swivels, waist, hips, knees and forward and back ankles and due to transformation and “brute/work” mode he even has an ab crunch. He was one of the more articulated Cybertron figures.

I can see Hasbro giving him wrist swivels and individually articulated fingers like the previous Titans and their now customary ankle tilts however.

Right, so, a Titan version could give us extra excessive articulation that we don't need but would still make for a nice surprise. ;)

I think we'll be seeing more of a slight reimagining of Metroplex. The original design had some pretty awkward proportions and a pathetic alt-mode (though I guess in the tradition of Metroplexes, it's just him hunched up). The base work is there, building on it would make something great.

There's a bit of discord around the Juniors at the moment. One of the remaining leakers says that he has no evidence of Nightbeat and Hosehead, suggesting they might not be mainline like previously expected. Minerva is definitely happening though, as some form of store exclusive.

It doesn't help that all of them (all two of them?) have been treated as just G1 versions of those characters, who wouldn't have Cyber Keys anyway.

But what if there was a Cyberkey Blast Effect? You have the top disc part that can plug onto a character to make them appear as if they're using it. Maybe add an extra power crackle that can plug between the key and the figure and an attachable bottom part for displaying it off of figures.
I think that'd be a fun homage, especially if they did an accessory pack that included different variants.

None of the Cybertron throwbacks in the WFC Trilogy have a cyber key.

Meh, it's not the same if the key doesn't actually behave like a key and actually fit into a slot that its key part can be inserted into. Otherwise, it's just a big flap piece hanging off the side of a figure for no functional purpose.

Of all the Unicron Trilogy gimmicks, Cyber Keys were the best gimmick in how they were both functional yet nonintrusive.

I just don't see them doing the full blown gimmick of the cyber key since it was usually a massive block that'd unfurl with springs. Maaaaaybe we'll get a little taste of it with the Titan, but certainly not in any other figure. I don't really expect them to do the full sha-bang with Minicon Powerlinxing either... we'll probably get the Minicons and they'll attach to hardpoints, maybe they'll have some fold out weapon gizmos to justify it.

I grew up with UT, but couldn't afford a full-sized figure until the 07 Toyline (imagine your first full toys being Voyager Ironhide and Deluxe Payload...) so while I love UT, I don't have attachments to the toy gimmicks themselves. So my perspective on them is kinda unusual in that way.

Will be funny if metroplex is the cyberverse titan slightly remolded plus it would actually make sense and be do able from the way it transforms.

You wanna pay $150 for a measly Cyberverse Ultimate mold?
