It's the same head that was previously only used on the Selects Combat Megatron toy.Tuned Agent wrote:I'm surprised they made a new head sculpt though

I bet they could even do a 2nd run on SG Jetfire, and it would sell well (I'm sure they wont but...)

Do you mean a 3rd run? Because Siege Jetfire was just recently at EE for preorders and is now sold out, luckily I put in a preorder back in October.

Had I just waited a few more weeks instead of blowing the $200 I spent with shipping....

Every Commander and even a few Titans have had multiple rereleases, you can really only blame yourself here.
Hello no....I blame you, I blame Seibertron, I blame the world!![]()
Nah the fault is mine as you pointed out Emerje, I chose poorly and hopefully I don't fall victim to a blunder like this soon!

Btw, don't bother googling "top 10 drill tanks".
In recent history, I recall "Powerdasher" Zetar from the Selects line, and "Nosecone" from the Combiner Wars Computron set (that's the CW version, not Warriors Unite). Those didn't make sense either.

That head was always based on IDW Miner Megatron.

It's subtle, but it's actually a new sculpt. It's most visible on the forehead, where on the new one the red markings are molded thicker and cover more area, and the caution stripe part has a v-shape to it. The cheek guards are slightly different too. That's why I'm surprised, they already had a perfectly good headsculpt designed for this very purpose, yet they made a new one anyway.

Would have been kind of interesting.

Still gives me hope that we will see IDW MTMTE Rodimus
Yeah it's been a while for him.Emerje wrote:D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Emerje wrote:I think the most interesting bit is that even though IDW is done with Hasbro, Hasbro isn't done with IDW between Velocitron Blurr, Tarn and now Megatron. Hopefully they keep that ball rolling.

I feel like we're overdue for a new Drift, especially after his appearance in Cyberverse. Not a remake of the Generations figure but the late IDW version that was hanging out with Hot Rod and Ratchet with the red face markings and Cybertronian alt mode.

I'd love that too. We have early IDW Drift, and thanks to Adventure we sort of have early MTMTE Drift. I'd love a shot at his final IDW body

Adventure Drift, man that was an awesome figure. I'm glad I got some of those Adventure figures.
