If I owned it and had a kid on the way, I'd sell all the extras and keep 1 of each. Really, who needs that many duplicates in a single collection? Some of the profits obtained from selling the extras could go towards buying some nice display cases to get them off the floor and make room for the kid.

I couldn't agree more. I understand wanting to have a nice big collection, but I don't get why he had 4 or 5 of each. Guess it doesn't hurt for resale though...
