mordhelm wrote:So right now the Select Series would help round out Elita-Inf1nite for me. I would move Jazz and Ricochet to Elita, and Red Swoop would go with Firestormer. I kind of hope this Select Series pans out and throws a few more Combiner limbs our way in general. 4 more decepticons, and maybe give us some more 84/85 cars.

Just wondering because if you collected all the mass release figures (including exclusives) until now, you should have "full" teams of Decepticons (multiples of 4) and 2 spare Autobots (right now Rook and Alpha Bravo for me).
I'll list mine off here:
I know you didn't ask, but I'll list my "Grand Plan", for 30 unique combiners. Keep in mind I don't have all of these, but I have most. Also ALL have a 6th legends class member (except Devastator and Predaking), which I wont list at this time, just for simplicity sake.
"Heroic Combiners"
1. Superion (UW01)
2. Defensor (UW03)
3. Convoy Grand Prime (UW05)
4. Optimus Maximus (CW Battle Core Optimus Prime, Alpha Bravo, Smokescreen, G2 Ratchet & (missing 1))
5. Victiorion (CW Box Set)
6. Wreckage (TFSS 5.0 & 6.0)
7. Mangaboss (BC2016)
8. Betatron (CW Computron Box Set)
9. Computron (UW08)
10.Lynxmaster (UWEX)
11.G2 Superion (CW Box Set)
12.Modulus
13.Volcanicus
14.Elita-Infin1te (Elita-1, Moonracer, Novaster & (missing 2))
15.Infernac (Inferno, Jazz, Wreck-Gar, Riccochet & (missing 1)
"Evil Combiners"
1. Menasor (UW02)
2. Devastator (UW04)
3. Grand Galvatron (UW06)
4. Bruticus (UW07)
5. Grand Scourge (UW EX Grand Scourge, Offroad, SG Ratchet, CW Blastoff, CW Vortex)
6. Megatronia (UWEX)
7. Baldigus (UW EX)
8. Thunder Mayhem (TFCC 5.0)
9. Predacus (BC2016)
10.LioKaiser (CW Box Set)
11.G2 Menasor (CW Box Set)
12.G2 Bruticus (CW Box Set)
13.Predaking (PotP Box Set)
14.Abominus
15.King Starscream (PotP Starscresm, Dreadwind, Blackwing, BC2016 Terrorsaur & GL Starscream renamed "Sunstorm")
This plan successfully integrates every truly unique combiner used thus far from this system, however as you can see, there are 4 heroic missing deluxes to attain the symmetry I desire.

Much like Computron, I am still holding out hope for a boxset Monstructor. It may take a while, but hopefully we will be rewarded again
JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:(...) and how many other previously unreleased PotP tooling remnants are going to see show up in this "Select Series"?
WAVERIDER!!!

I mean, we know at least some of the tooling exists, given the Wildfly head and the Bristleback guns we saw with Hascon/NYCC samples, so it should happen at some point. I can get Hasbro not releasing a bunch of combiner limb repaints of previously non-combiner characters (even if I want them to), but skipping a whole combiner who hasn't been updated since G1 would be a seriously questionable decision on their part, especially given the ceaseless G1 focus with their current product releases.
ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:Given that the Combiner Wars combination scheme is an update of the "Scramble City" style from G1, the combiner team I think it would be really dumb to skip is the Seacons. Rippersnapper's mold could be used for Overbite and possibly Skalor/Gulf as well, and hopefully Snaptrap/Turtler is indeed Hun-Gurr's alternate as people speculate.

I've got two PotP Jazz figures. For one of them, the foot holds VERY loosely, as it does for you. The foot piece almost spins around freely when pegged into that hole. The slightest jostle will make it fall out. On my other figure, the fit between the peg on the foot and the hole in the back of the car mode is MUCH more secure. I think it's just a "your mileage may vary" kind of QC issue, unfortunately. Put a little scrap of paper in the hole for the foot before you peg it in, specifically such that the paper lays against the cylindrical wall of the hole. That should help tighten up that connection without permanently altering either your figure or the foot piece.

Out of curiousity, pre- or post-MAGA?
