Perhaps it's because he's still new, but no hip looseness yet, Will. It's only happened once before, but when I imported Mach Kick, his torso connection was already loose out of the box....

I really liked your list, too -- do you think the PotP Dinobots and their ability to combine will stand the test of time?

Mine does. His arms are a little loose at the shoulder and elbow too, but not to the same extent as the hips. I guess those hip ball joints of his just don't age well.

But then again, I was one of those kids who liked to detach some of his BW figures' limbs at the ball joints and try to mix and match similar-sized ball joints to create new monstrous-looking abominations by attaching the limbs of other figures to one figure's torso, even if that rendered any of these monstrosities no longer able to transform (I played with them like they were monsters instead of Transformers in those instances). Of course, I'd eventually put all the correct limbs back on their correct torsos, but I'm sure all that detaching and re-attaching I did back then didn't help the ball joints of my figures to hold up better over time.

Arms say Power. Back says Warning, and Mech Access. Cockpit says Elita & Optimus. Wings say No Step and Ariel Evolved.

Will@ mine doesn't have any looseness on his hips, his right arm is looser than his left though, and being second hand his paint work is scratched...but I think it works in his favour regarding his monstrous appearance.

Yeah, thats a question I am asking myself right now. I dont know if what has been released since me doing the list is better. Like, are any POTP dinobots better than TM2 Dinobot?

Yeah but without the POTP Dinobots there wouldn't be any POTP terrorcons, probably, which brings me to my next point.

When I was going back and looking at the NYTF pics of the Terrorcons I realized that Cutthroat is a pretty modest retool of Swoop. Makes enough sense, I don't mind. I think other people pointed that out as well. But I just noticed now that Sinnertwin shares some parts and presumably engineering with Snarl. It was the combiner joint that tipped me off, they're the same. And then I looked at the rest and realized he has Snarl's transformation shoulder swivel, the arms from shoulder to elbow and the fist, and everything from the waist to the knees. Very clever parts sharing, Hasbro, it took me this long to catch on. I don't know if this is old news or not, maybe it was brought up before and I forgot it. Also, Blot kinda looks like he might have Rippersnapper's legs but I'm not sure.

Even though you're a bit off with the common parts (shoulders are different molds), you are right about who's paired with who. The total list:

Slug with Sludge
Swoop with Cutthroat
Snarl with Sinnertwin
Rippersnapper with Blot

And as a bit of a cheat, Jazz with CW Drag Strip. Look at the Combiner Joint and wheels

I find that the Predacons are the only figures in PotP I'm actually interested in. Yeah the Pretenders look cute and cool, but are they really main figures? Not really. Just little bonus things to get here and there to go with your larger figures. Kinda seem like weapons packs with slightly more individual play. But isn't that what they're meant to be? Pretty much, and I like them.

I personally think Titans Return was the best line in the trilogy. Lots of very unique and varied transformations with a not overly evasive gimmick which only required a functioning cockpit or seat to stay within the gimmick rather than having to turn into a combiner limb. PotP seems to me like a leftovers line or something to put out the ones they didn't end up doing in the first two. And even then, the toys look kinda blah. Predaking does look badass though.

Huh, you're right, the shoulders are different to a small degree. Is that toy accurate or did they change it just because? I didn't notice at first because they're both large circles. Anyway thank sfor reaffirming my suspicions. I'm honestly impressed with how they're able to do this and still make visually distinct toys..... and meanwhile Hun-Gurrr shares no actual parts with Silverbolt but looks a lot more like him than these guys do.

I don't know, star sabers being an retool doesn't sit well with me, even though I know they did that with leozack and sky lynx in the aforementioned cw liokaiser. While I can live with the three brainmasters being combiner limbs, the big kahuna himself needs to be leader class. I mean the evolution gimmick seems almost tailor made for him.

Oh I agree, but I was looking at who could finish Road Cesear. And if they went this way, they would have Star Saber and his combining partner, the 3 Road guys, and all 4 brainmasters in 1 set

Does anyone else feel that it is now necessary to have a new voyager UTV style vehicle for the Combiner Junkions to ride in/on and obviously combine with?

That would be something I would buy even as a 3rd party figure.
