Seconded. Cutthroat seems like he'd make a really good arm, and I'm fond of having the "bulkier" characters form the legs. I could wait until I have Bombom in-hand and try out the various configs myself, but I want to see it now dammit

We voted for the character, there was no knowledge of the gimmick or what the figure would end as. Stop blaming it on the character (or serie) choice, it would have been almost as bad for everyone except maybe Star Saber. I'm blaming Hasbro for being so poor on quality and quantity this year. But because it's so poor I'm thanking people like you for voting for the Monkey instead of Deathsaurus being ruined again (that Skylynx repaint was trash). But if you like it, by all means buy the whole shelf. I bought 4 Leader class figures last year and if this one was really any good I'd would've still bought it. So stop making lame assumptions in order to defend overall crappy designs.

I'll get the bad out of the way first... ugh. His bird head, WILL fall off, in multiple pieces, ALL THE TIME. It is incredibly frustrating. Hopefully, it's not a common problem.

Sinnertwin:
Bot mode has monkey arms, otherwise he's pretty great! Beast heads are posable and both have opening mouths.

Blot:
He would be perfect, if his damn beast mouth opened. Aside from that though,

Abominus:
I need some hands/feet upgrades. But he's fantastic. I never had a full team of scramblers as a kid, but I had three Terracons. So it feels great to have this guy all assembled. He looks great, feels great, and honestly I'm fine with there being no UW counterpart. He might be my favorite Generations scrambler besides my Brutici.

Now these I'm interested in! The Torrorcons are basically the highlight of this otherwise disappointing line IMO.

Now if only we had gotten some PotP Seacons to finish the G1 scramble combiners.

there's still a chance we'll get seacons in the next few years.

I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of Abobinus limbs to go around sooner than later. Let's hope it will be so before August 31 so I can put my remaining 2 TrU coupons to good use.

Well I do have every TF series in some form of media, (mostly DVD, and the ones that don't exist on DVD I have as video files on my computer)and he's seen them all. So he has his likes form each series. I've tried not to let my biases sway him but sometimes as a parent its hard. You know, it just hit me. If I didn't want to use the BotCon 2006 version, this non-beast "vehicular" version of Optimus Primal could serve as the pre-Beast Upgrade Beast Wars: Uprising version of the guy.

...Eh, this newest attempt of mine to get me to want that toy isn't doing so well.

Primal is no stranger to time or dimensional travel, he's done it for BW, the BWII Movie, ran into some from the Movie... running into a version of the Great War in the past is just a drop in the ocean for him He could still that BWU guy, right before he was killed. Having him fight alongside Builders or against them as a wild card.

So BBTS just added most of PotP wave 3 to their pre-order listings. I put them all on pre-order just as a contingency. If I see them in the store first, I can cancel my pre-order. But oddly enough, after months and months of no Wave 2 PotP Prime Masters sightings, I get a notice TODAY that BBTS got them in stock, and is shipping them out.

Also I notice a couple of sightings just started being added. Could this be the beginning of "Tue" wave 2 release? Who knows. I feel used - getting them for almost triple retail price (after shipping), but then again, its a smaller purchase, not like a voyager or leader which are marked up (less % wise, but more money overall). I'll just definitely have to be watchful for any more wave 2. Thankfully BBTS does not have the single wave 2 Dinobots available, and I'm not purchasing the whole deluxe wave again, when I already have 3 of 5.

Also, BBTS is offering much of PotP wave 1 on a pretty good discount if there are any figures anyone is missing , or holding out on.

The problems is that all my attempts to convince myself to want this figure keep failing because the smaller robot figure's tacky appearance just keeps overpowering any and all of my attempts. It just looks so baaad.

Thanks for the heads up. I put the deluxes, prime masters and legends on pre-order myself. Already have Inferno and no way am I paying $65 plus some shipping for monkey prime. That one I'm okay with skipping if I can't find him in stores around $50.

If PotP ends up like TR in my area, the late-wave figures will be clogging shelves for the next 6-8 months.

Looks like TFSource has Wave 3 up for preorder now too. I'm very tempted to partake, just knowing how hard it has been to find Wave 2 at retail for many fans. I was lucky to get all I wanted right when they first appeared (except, of course, for the mostly absent Prime Masters). I did just luck into finding a second Elita One over the weekend at a nearby Target. I don't know if she was just lingering on the shelves for a while or had popped up only recently. She was alone, as she didn't have another Elita with her or any Hun-Grrrs, indicating a case had just been put out. The price for preordering is, of course, dealing with a bit of a mark-up and not being able to do your own "quality control" in person, choosing the best paint jobs and sticker applications from among what is available on the shelves in your area. Then again, the ONLY reason I was able to get the likes of Titan Returns Windblade, Twin Twist, and Misfire is because I preordered them when I first could. Never saw any sign of them in stores around my neck of the woods.

UPDATE:

I went ahead and preordered what I needed. I have Optimal Optimus, the last three Terrorcons, and Outback and Cindersaur in my stack at TFSource. They don't seem to have the Wave 3 Prime Masters up for pre-order, though. I went to BBTS and preordered them there instead and also ordered the Wave 2 Prime Masters, which are currently in stock, while I was at it, though I paid nearly twice normal retail price (including tax) for them. I'm really hoping at least some of these show up in stores soon, though, so I can cancel these preorders and save a little money.

You're a good (Spider)man, shajaki. I'll admit he doesn't look as perfect as I'd hoped, but I do really like Cutthroat as an arm! (And it's sounding more and more like it's best to leave him that way instead of trying to ever transform him... )

I agree it does seem like Abominus is gonna be good in any configuration! Rare is the CW-style combiner that truly looks (and works) good with any arrangement of limbs. My Rippersnapper just arrived yesterday and I quite like him in either arm or leg mode - as well as his other two modes! Quite the winner, that toy.
