My P/CP was shipped. Interestingly, it looks like Amazon moved it itself from CA to NY before handing off to USPS.

In any case, haven't really been following this thread, but thought I saw mention of the figure being mis-configured? Is that for some or all?

All come with the shoulders joints oriented a certain way that makes lining up the arms and front end of the car for alt mode more fiddley/difficult, but not at all impossible. It doesn't affect how well everything ultimately tabs together either in alt mode, nor does it affect articulation of the arms in robot mode. It's mostly a convenience to flip the shoulder joints around. It's so easy to do, that you might as well do it too. If you can gently pry apart the two halves of the torso, you can do this swap without any tools and without breaking or damaging anything. It's also completely reversible if need be. The only possible drawback for switching around the shoulder joints is that it doesn't look as good compared to how the rest of the shoulders are sculpted with the flat edge facing up as opposed to the factory installed curved edge up. Most people are honestly not going to notice that one way or the other, though, unless they know to look for it, and for anyone who can tell the difference, I'm sure only a tiny portion will really be upset by it.

I show in my video how to do the fix AND also show that it's not that big of an issue.

Just got home from a looooooong day and was surprised by my C/PC. I'll check out the shoulder when I get a chance...

Me too, just shipped. Just now. Hopefully he got his shoulders oriented correctly.

Conspiracy theory: between Jazz's alt mode and Counterpunch having a not-quite-Titan Master sized hole behind the chest plate, at one point these molds were going to be re-something'd into Laster and Braver.

Jazz started that theory rolling back when he was first revealed and there was speculation about what the next Deluxes in the line would look like was an unknown. It was looking like we weren't going to get another car, but I can definitely see Punch filling that role now. So where would the third figure, Blacker, come from?

Welp got the deleyed shipment email for my p/cp woth no expected date of arrival now , kinda disappointed

I definitely think Jazz into Braver was planned and is still in the cards for a later date. Not so sure about Punch/Counterpunch into Laster, but who knows.

What's for certain is that yesterday I took a pic of Optimus and Elita hugging:

Good news is my P/CP arrived. Bad news is that it arrived in a padded envelope. Even with the brown cardboard box inside, it still got crushed. The figure is completely intact, but the box isn't quite displayable. Once this figure is back in stock, I may do the old switcheroo with Amazon.

In any case, I like the figure a lot, but I don't love it. I think a big part of that is because I had such high expectations for the figure based on preliminary reviews. It's still a great figure and a lot of fun. And it's a character I've wanted when I was a kid. My biggest gripe is transforming into car mode. It's fine until the very last step when you bring the legs up and then fold it back over the top. I feel like there needs to be just a tiny bit more clearance. As such, I have to kind of force everything together until it all tabs in.

As an FYI, at first I wasn't going to do the shoulder fix. However, after having done it, I would say it's almost necessary.

Okay, I'm seeing a lot of people saying that they received their P/CP in various forms of damaged packaging, but I was wondering, how many people have gotten damaged packaging compared to undamaged? Cause I'm starting to worry about the condition my two will arrive in...

You should be fine. Single orders arrive in thinly padded envelopes, but two or more arrive shipped in boxes.

Ah, alright. Thanks. I really only ever used Amazon to get the titans or some cheap boxsets so I'm not used to how they handle things

My Blast Off came in a pristine Hasbro shipping box, in a padded envelope. Bought from Amazon direct and not a reseller, don't know who delivered it. In the past, it's been FedEx and USPS, and in my area I've seen regular people make the deliveries, from a hot spot I bet.

Well, I got my Power of the Primes Wreck-Gar in at last! No, I didn't find it at Walgreens, U.S. fans. I had preordered it from TFSource months ago and it came in stock before any retails sightings, unfortunately. What is fortunate is that he is a fun combiner fodder figure. He's not the most amazing as a stand alone representation of Wreck-Gar on your classics shelves (the Generations or United figure is MUCH better for that). Attaching the pinwheel axe in alt mode is ridiculous, but I found a way to line it up with the front wheel in leg mode. Looks pretty cool and gives him a nice distinctive "Junkion" vibe as compared to other uses of the mold, like Groove and Afterburner. Right now, Wreck-Gar is serving as the left leg of Elita Infin1te. I kind of wish I had another spare character in the Deluxe Groove mold to use as the right leg, as that mold as a leg looks really good on Elita Infin1te. For reference, I'm using Firestar and Moonracer and the left and right arms, respectively. The right leg is currently "Bluestreak" from the Transformers Subscription Service. I'll snap some pictures tomorrow if anyone is interested.

Mine surprisingly was fine. I'm 2 for 3 on the exclusives since I got Blast Off from Robot Kingdom

I think with amazon in depends on which distribution center it comes from, and there are several (presumably) that will stock these exclusive items, unlike BBTS, or HTS that all ship from one location. I only got Repugnus, and it came in a nice solid box, but from the east coast somewhere via Fedex. My Novastar however was from a local CA distribution center and came in a bubblewrap plastic bag via USPS. It was not too damaged, not that I was keeping the packaging anyway, but if it had to cross the country, I could see a lot worse happening to it.

I'm not exactly sure how TF Source works, considering I've only ordered once from them an item on clearance. But it currently states Wreck-gar is still in pre-order status. You must have been one of the fortunate ones that got it way early. I was hoping this was an indication walgreens would have it soon, but if its still not in stock in most 3p sites, i guess I'll have to keep waiting. Wreck-Gar and Predaking are the last regular release items on my list to complete my PotP collection.

I guess one good thing about PotP being cut short (the only good thing), is that, with very few toys unique to Takara, and other exclusives, I'll actually be finishing this line before CW or TR heh...

I finally got a chance to open my Punch/Counterpunch.

First, I received mine in a corrugate box in a padded envelope through USPS. My package was pristine (until my sausage fingers got to opening the box...)

Figure looks beautiful. It appears I have the shoulders assembled upside down. I may do the fix (once I get a spudger). Others have already stated some great positives, so I won't rehash.

The only concerns I have are thus:

The front fender, behind the front wheels...There is a slot where the fender should be secured in Punch mode. Chuckdawg mentioned in his review that some are seeing stress marks. Given the force I tried to use to get them secured the first time, I will never be securing this tab. Everything else is tight enough right now that I don't think it is necessary.

I love the inclusion of the HFG (which appears to be the same mold as Moonracer/Novastar) even though P/CP is not a combiner. It makes a nice jetpack for P/CP. HOWEVER, I think I will only be using the jetpack for Counterpunch, because to use it for Punch means putting the peg into the roof of the car, which appears to be painted clear plastic. I am very concerned about cracking that plastic...

All in all, I like this figure. It keeps me from looking to pay a premium for that BotCon exclusive...

I really dont think its related because the stock comes from different places. TFSource is getting it from an Asian seller and not Hasbro (who is only sending them them directly to Walgreens in the US). The Wreck Gar toy has been finished for a while and found at retail across the globe for months now. I myself have owned him for almost 2 months now (sent directlyto EB Games courtesy of Hasbro Canada) and its not like stock in canada was any indication of it coming to the US.

And Wolfman, your review for Wreck Gar is on point. he really is just a straight forward redeco to be another random limb for a combiner. Nothing really stellar with th retooling and the paint job isnt premium in any way. Just another limb.

Holding out on us huh? How much did you end up paying for old Eric Idle? Those of us in the states with a WG nearby will likely have to wait till about November. Gotta love how US retailers do their distribution.
