My initial thought is basically this would be the equivalent of a "Trading card" for Predaking, I mean if they did include one, how much would that suck to have 12 different trading cards for Predaking, who would be crazy enough to try to collect all those? Abominus, Volcanicus etc... don't have tading cards because they were not released as a set. There is still no real news about if/ow the last 3 primes will be released.

Also, I know some are saying the matrix is a stand in for the 13th Prime, but see below early Promo art actually had 15 symbols, further proof in my mind that this line was seemingly cut short, though I'm sure someone will quickly post that this is not the case.

I asked that question at least 3 times previously in this thread...Some speculate it's Primus and Unicron, others said the 3 additional (12+3) represented the 3 matrixes that come with the 3 leaders- OP, RU, and OO, but now that we have a 4th Leader Nemesis Prime and coming out...??? but there has been no definitive answers as far as I know.

Actually,Nemesis prime would be the 5th leader, well 4th or 5th depending on whether he makes it out before monkey prime. OP, RP, RU, NP and OO. I think he meant that both Optimus Prime and Rodimus Prime have the Matrix of Leadership while Rodimus Unicronus, Optimal Optimus, and Nemesis Prime all have different Matrices. But, Optimal Optimus's Matrix actually is still the Matrix of Leadership, so it is only three Matrices after all: the Matrix of Leadership, the Matrix of Chaos, and the Dark Matrix of Leadership.

I was waiting for reprolabels, but the set they just released is probably even worse than Hasbro's, so I wonder to just remove all this stuff.

Yeah, while I LOVE Reprolabels, I DO definitely prefer when they lean toward G1 style labels. The more they go in wild directions with distracting patterns or fake reflections on windows... that's when I pass. (Or sometimes get the set and only apply half of it.) Still unsure if I'll get this Elita set.

But bottom line — very curious if someone can post the pics you just requested (what's under factory stickers).

For a while now, we knew that Takara's Power of the Primes line would be identical to Hasbro's at least in terms of how the toys look. This brand unification has led to many toys being the same in the generations line, the Movie Masteriece line, the Studio Series line and even the traditional Masterpiece line (with Anime Prowl being released by both companies), but so far at least the packaging had some difference. But that won't be the case for Takara's Power of the Primes.

Planet Iacon on Facebook has images of the first wave of Takara POTP toys in packaging and it is the same packaging as the Hasbro release. They do have a sticker showing the name of the toy in Japanese, but as you can see below, that sticker doesnt eve completely cover the Hasbro logo at times.

I'm surprised there's no "Takara Tomy" sticker on the front of the box either. What's even more hilarious is the multi-lingual packaging. None of that is going to entice a Japanese consumer, and it takes up so much of the space on the box, especially on the back!

I wonder how much takara are saving by going this route, this may have been initiated by hasbro (conspiracy to increase domestic sales) but this route may work out beneficial to Takara. Also if it means the west are getting the same masterpieces, that's good news isn't it?

No. Micron Legends, Superlink and Galaxy force toys were often different than Armada, Energon and Cybertron toys.
While it was mainly deco/paint différences, not a lot of remolds.

The trick is in the wording - "pre-AOE, movie toylines" versus "pre-AOE-movie toylines". Either could be reasonably read. Unfortunately since I don't remember anything about Takara's previous movie toylines, I can't contribute anything else other than a pedantic explanation...
