Picked up Dead End today at TRU, was really surprised since we normally dont see new waves til weeks after everyone else gets them here in FL

Amen. I saw Knock Out once here in the Palm Beaches but I didn't have money for him, and he's gone the next day. And guess what; that was May 20th. I haven't seen him in what will be 2 months. The only Wave 3 figure I've seen since then is Hot Shot, and I already have him >_>.

Florida gets tail end of this crap

Most TRU's didn't get wave 3 period. I guarantee Florida fares better of then WV. We don't see a lot of waves in multiple lines/brands at all. My local WM has been very bountiful lately after 2 years of nothing but movie toys. It's Bizarro World up in here lately.

I know right? It's nice I accidentally ran across a newly opened case of wave 3 at St.C. (midnight walmart runs with friends ftw xD) and snagged myself a Vehicon, then stumbled across wave 4's Dead End and Airachnid two days ago at another local Walmart. They sure made us wait long enough for wave 3, but wave 4 was right on time!

All I know is from Charleston on down to Logan sucks the big one FTMP for finding TF's. There's this freaking mega-hoarder duo in Charleston too (Ermon and Jack) who wipe the pegs out of anything new or good period multiple times and Jack even repackages older toys and returns them. Scum for real, both of them. So between the odd find here and there it's bare here unless you can beat them to it. I first met Ermon at TRU, emptying the classics wave with Tankor into his buggy. ALL the figures on the shelf. I like to get a double but c'mon. Not the entire section. Guy is a major douche.

Lucky me found a steady source not too far away so I'm doing good in this line and can't wait for the revision wave. People will get their Vehicons and I'll probably get a couple more. What figures I got were the last ones on the shelf so others got their figure too. It's good knowing we don't have creeps like Charleston does gobbling everything up and people leave figures for kids and other collectors.

I'd like to just casually throw in the fact that Europe, including UK, has almost seen Wave 2 (at Tesco and Asda, apparently, but not in East Anglia). There are still no sightings of waves 3 or 4 at all.

That's not ridiculous at all. :\ I can't imagine what has to be wrong with someone to do something like that, seriously. I mean...I understand that there's a lot of aftermarket value with MIB/MOSC transformers, but entire sections? Meh, you can't have a fanbase without a few jerks like that though I suppose.

It's the worst case I've ever seen IRL. Sure, we all get more than we should maybe sometimes. Myself included. I can't fathom wtf the guy is thinking or if it's OCD, burnt out on dope, whatever. I knew him for a while and explained "A couple are good. If you aren't selling them (he wasn't and was pretty computer illiterate tbh), or picking them up for buddies, what's the point? All it does is piss people off and make it hard on everyone else when it's bad enough already." He had no storage and an average size smaller home he rented. Where did they all go? I never saw them. He slacked off for awhile then started back up about a year later when I wasn't around, ended up ripping me off for a bit of cash on some. Lesson learned and I cut ties completely.

TL DR; version, If you meet someone like that steer clear. They don't change and are chock full of just utter nonsense and bad manners in general. I'm glad he's having a hard time with this series though. lol He loved it after seeing previews and the show and was really enthused. Karma is pretty sweet sometimes.

I dropped into my local Target today after work, and what do ya know. An employee was just putting out a fresh case of wave 4.

I have to be honest I was really going to pass on both Dead End and A-crapp-nid, but after seeing the Dead End my friend found I changed my mind and I wanted to get him. He is actually very nice in person, and his head sculpt is bad ass. His strange ass colors actually work, and of course this mould is one of the best in the Prime RID line.

Now being that they had A-crapp-nid, the completionist in me had to buy her.

She still sucks in person though, but what are you gonna do....

Well, I bought the only remaining Star Hammer at the Meadville PA Wal-Mart.

Trust the reviewers when they say the Energon Drill is the much nicer playset.

I personally didn't care much for Legion Class Knockout. (He looks good, don't get me wrong, he's just not stable in vehicle mode.) Wheeljack, however, is a different story. One of the best Legion figures I've ever had. He's remarkably posable, thanks to his transformation. His vehicle and robot modes are both solid. An A+ in my book...

That's....pretty much the long and short of it. The 'hammer itself looks okay as a display piece, but as a playset? Meh. Very bland.

I dropped into my local Target today after work, and what do ya know. An employee was just putting out a fresh case of wave 4.

I have to be honest I was really going to pass on both Dead End and A-crapp-nid, but after seeing the Dead End my friend found I changed my mind and I wanted to get him. He is actually very nice in person, and his head sculpt is bad ass. His strange ass colors actually work, and of course this mould is one of the best in the Prime RID line.

Now being that they had A-crapp-nid, the completionist in me had to buy her.

Take the copter shell off. Completely. Two screws hold it on, one in the cockpit and one just under where the two "fake" legs are. The entire thing comes off and what's left is a surprisingly much better looking and articulated Airachnid. Even the arms don't look so bad but YMMV. The spider legs are gone but you can see what needs trimmed off the shell to put it back on and have an excellent bot and spider mode. If you have two figures (which I'm betting will become the norm after doing this) use the propeller "legs" with ball-joints plug into the "fake" legs spot. The range of movement is really limited with them there though so I'm looking into other options there. It's pretty awesome after doing that IMO, looks a hundred times better even though you lose one figures alt mode.

It's because it's really NOT a bad mold, but we're so overrun with the yellow demon that our viewpoints get skewed to the negative simply on principle. Also, the deep blue and flame patterns are much more flattering than bright yellow. And the head. Oh man, the head is beautiful.

I just can't get over the bad autotransform. Granted, I've only transformed one that belongs to a friend of mine once back and forth, but I fiddled with the autotransform a bit...it just bugs me how it gets caught on itself; it's not a smooth motion and takes FAR too much force to make work.

For contrast, I'll mention the '07 Movie Voyager Starscream mold. It has an autotransform that works very smoothly (provided you keep the wing bits from bumping, which is perfectly simple to do). I actually *enjoy* that part of the transformation, because it's smooth and functional.

Thanks for the modification ideas. I did make some small mods just to the back of the legs at the hip, and a little to the area just behind on the backpack/cockpit. It gave the legs more movement, but I can still transform her to Alt mode. I would do the whole remove the cockpit idea, but I want to still be able to change her to a Chopper.

Maybe, just maybe Hasbro/ Takara will redo this figure later on. Maybe even a Voyager so she is more scale accurate. If it happens at all, they better make a better effort the they did with this one.

^It would look loads better if they did. I know where you're talking about on the legs bit. It hinders them a lot. I need to get another dremel to finish mine up there. Taking the copter part off and looking around though was really surprising to look at IMO. There's actually a decent figure with decent articulation once it's off. It was fun just to see what all is there and what kills so much of her figure. Easy since it's just two screws and easily put back too.

If someone could fashion up a new back plate (Shapeways, Dr. Wu???)to keep the rotor placement and the fake legs portion plus hold the head section in, it would be a great alternative to hacking it up just to get movement and a better bot mode. I can deal with one being without an alt mode if that's what it takes personally. I only remember seeing the copter mode twice, spider mode would've been far better since that's her primary alt anyway. Having another one frees you up a bit to make it right for your taste I guess. lol
