As mentioned earlier, they have to have a robot mode, vehicle mode AND limb/torso mode. FOC Bruticus has OK vehicle modes, variable robot modes (ranging from mediocre, such as Onslaught, to great, such as Brawl) and a combined mode that is impressive for how much it achieves with no seperate hand, foot, head or armour pieces, but looks rather disjointed.
Snipping out the part I want to address.
The FOC Combaticons have five robots, each with articulated robot modes, distinct vehicle modes, and combine to form a super robot with head, waist, leg, knee, shoulder and even some elbow articulation. Any limb can swap with any other limb. And it does this without any extra pieces or parts-forming.
It's not perfect, but damn, it does a lot of things right! It's better than any G1 or Energon combiner that I have. And I can get the whole set for $60. For the love of Primus, people, get a grip!

You have a problem with PCCs?![]()
On topic, this looks pretty cool actually! Looking forward to colour pictures, just to figure out if it beats retail FoC Bruticus at SKITTLEPOWER.

I already sold most of my Japanese MISB items over the last 2 years (sold some to ebays "sonofyada" a very large MISB AFA collector, Now he must be rich, lol). But I still have some left like an Abominus, Metrotitan, and some others.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion, it's cool. But this topic is for the aforementioned toys.
Let's refrain from trying to sell our own wares, sharing our collection's life-stories or insulting each other.

Here freaking here,
FOC Bruticus is the best official transformers combiner to date (imo of course), convince me of a better one.
G1 combiners were easy as hell, little bricks with close to zero articulation. Okay they looked decent, but such an easy concept wouldn't work nowadays.

I know how they operate, budgets, tooling, deadlines, regulations, factories, the list of things goes on and on, etc. THAT is NOT what stops Hasbro from making good product and selling it at a good price and getting it sold here in the states. Its the idiots in suits that look at numbers only and know nothing of the actual line or the fans or the collectors, buyers, etc.
Cybershark wrote:Hell any one of us in this forum could probably come up with several legit ideas that would work that upper Hasbro management in the Transformers brand hasn't even thought of, etc. Sometimes in business the object is not to make as much money as you can right away, BUT to invest into a LONG term plan of attack. And you do that by compromising a few things. You want a good example of that? Look at what Marvel did with their Comic movies, they linked them all together and made them come together in one of the largest movies of all time! And it payed off and it will continue to pay off if they keep giving THEIR customers what THEY WANT!!
That Bot wrote:Beast Wars Magnaboss is a pretty legit combiner, even after all these years. Course, Ironhide makes 2/3 of the combined robot (both legs, lower torso, both arms), so that's probably part of it.
Down_Shift wrote:Wow, that was some kinda rant.
My favorite part is "if you take everything I said as it was written then your missing the entire point!!"
Two exclamation marks makes it sound very over bearing, and very very whiny. Also, someone get this guy a few years of past threads to read through, maybe brush up on what he thinks he's talking about. Always a new guy willing to tell everyone else how it is, then when someone calls him on it they spew more garbage from what they think they know of the fandom and of Hasbro themselves.
Idiot rants like that are why I seldom post here anymore.

You're right. When I put forth my apparently insulting suggestion that larger companies are more rigid in structure and smaller companies are not I assure you the intent was to bring up a point, not start an argument.
What really prevents Hasbro engineers from putting out a truly good toy are the suits. Designers log thousands of completely superior designs that are ultimately rejected for being too expensive to produce. The constant feedback of "Hey this is awesome! But can we make it cheaper?" has resulted in designers churning out toy designs with one hand on the drawing board and the other hand alternating between reaching for grain alcohol shots and unsteadily holding some type of revolver to their own temple. Designers do this while crying, as visible tear stains on designer documents (yes, even those in .pdf) are what really pushes the toy design through. And the suits laugh. They laugh at the designers for their broken minds. They laugh at the Chinese for their deplorable work conditions. And then we, the consumers, are laughed at because we buy the toys.
Moreover, the suits sit on these superior designs; lovingly crafted for fans by fans, and wipe their asses with both these superior designs and our money.
You and your paranoid ranting has shown me the way. I can't wait to go home and get in a fight with my 1/6 scale organic Steeljaw. Thank you.Cybershark wrote:Hell any one of us in this forum could probably come up with several legit ideas that would work that upper Hasbro management in the Transformers brand hasn't even thought of, etc. Sometimes in business the object is not to make as much money as you can right away, BUT to invest into a LONG term plan of attack. It's all good to give customers what they want, but a "LONG term plan of attack" sometimes means you have to cash in quickly on what's hot in order to afford employees and not get rid of them as companies will do instead of sacking higher paid executives. If you wish to change this mentality, then please take your ranty wisdom and apply it to the toy market. After all, "any one of us in this forum could probably come up with several legit ideas that would work that upper Hasbro management in the Transformers brand hasn't even thought of, etc."

CaptainMagic wrote:Hey guys, I have been lurking around here for a long time and I felt compelled to post about these guys. I have taken to collecting Cyberverse figures almost exclusively because they're so much fun and I don't have much room in my apartment for display.
I imagine Cybershark's issue with Cyberverse is that he seems to take his collecting seriously. I imagine that most of his collection stays in the box and sits on a shelf, which is just fine by me. My collection, on the other hand, is in constant turmoil. I am always taking toys off the shelf to play with them because I just can't help myself. If I never played with my Cyberverse figures I probably would have missed the whole point of them as well, since they don't look that impressive in the package. However, just because I like the cheap, fun toys doesn't mean I'm going to rant and rave about how unnecessary I think 3rd Party stuff is. To each their own, man, stop running the stuff I like into the ground.
And on that note, I am completely over-the-moon with excitement for these Terrorcons! I just bought the Sky Claw and I have to say they really knocked Smokescreen out of the park. If the Terrorcons are in keeping with the current rate of improvement in the Cyberverse stuff I can't even imagine how great these will be.

Heres a Hint wrote:i was excited about this really i was but they look dissapointing iam not going to judge a book by its cover but really a lot of them look like they have the cheetor transformation ( ripper snapper blight or blot cutthrot ) hungger and sinnertwin look like the more intresting one
ripper snapper is my fave terrorcon and was wishing for a up to date version for some time so when i saw him in baltmatrex toy fair vid i thought wow looks awsome seeing it up close well dont look a gift horse in the mouth in my veiw
cutt is maby the most dissapoing one for me the idea for transformers is that you cant tell from alt mode to robot mode yet the wings is the arms do the same for the legs as sinner and bring up the head from the chest or twist it round the design is nice dont get me wrong but its very much a let down for me
blot blot just looks like its a up to date version of his g1 toy only more colours transformation looks awfull fold back the ape body to reveil head and the rest is simple ( fold back hands ect ) ( makes a good apeface trough lol )
abominus looks like a mess of parts even if that is the prototype is dose not look good at all
now dont get me wrong iam only judging these from the pics and from what ive seen i may never know these might be a awsome set just wish it was done in the combaticons style thats all
