You did fine. And movie Starscream and standard movie Optimus Prime are my best characters in the game, especially Starscream, I devoted myself to training with him.

I still need to practice controlling how the battle plays out.
When I face an opponent I need to make sure the battle is under my terms,
meaning I need to control when an opponent sees me,
when he/she finds me,
and how they come at me.

One way to control all those variables is to anticipate your opponents moves and adapt so as to counter such.

I couldn't counter.
So I will train harder and fight better next time

Who else is in the team?

I'd like to know if I've fought them before.

I do the same thing. I may be rather bold nowadays, but I know how to implement strategy if I need to. Before I was at my peak, I used to overcome 3v1 or 2v1 fights by keeping a low profile, waiting for an opening or someone to venture out alone, then make my move and get a kill to keep the advantage in my favor. I can win those type of situations through force in the present day, but I know how to outsmart enemy players if the direct approach isn't working. As Jango Fett once said to his son/clone Boba, "If there is a way to neutralize a target without direct confrontation, it's always the better option."

Countering is good to keep in mind also, like memorizing which character has priority over another. A perfect example would be that Long Haul is a superb counter for Jazz and Sideswipe. They can't effectively fight him in close quarters, not even Sideswipe's mines can outdo a well played Long Haul's grenades or flamethrowers.

The last time I fought NATHAN_ROCKS14 I used Protectobot. He used Grindor. Grindor is not good at close combat. So I charged at him and stuck to him like glue using the blinding ability and missiles. It worked the whole match. I'm understanding how to create a miss match. But whats the best against a Megatron flight and his dreaded drop in and fusion cannon your face technique?
