Cool not sure anyone has reported this yet, but the Japanese Mincons with the pegs come with a little extra plug which attaches them to the sprue. This is the same size/shape as the connector on the back of the Minicons and it can be used to connect the plugs on to the standard connectors on Prime Deployer/Delux toys.

You just saved mine from the trash but I don't see how the connector would connect to a proper Mini-Con port on toys from past lines. The rectangle sized hold wouldn't accommodate the traditional ports, or any 5mm peg for that matter.

Yep, the minicons in particular have had scarce sightings. If you find something though and you don't think we newsed it or anything, feel free to drop it in a thread or reports news up there in the top right corner! If we have it, we just have more proof; if we don't, everyone else now knows about it!

Well we did let people know we were looking for them when word first got out they were at Asda. It just took a while for someone to send a picture. But we did let people know, we knew they were out since at least early june and I personally asked for a picture to be sent: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=101922&p=1795527&hilit=asda#p1795527

Got Ratbat and Sandsting today. Ratbat is awesomely hilarious- I really dig his colours, and he just looks so cute standing on his wings. A shame he can't do a convincing flight pose though. Sandsting is so neon it hurts, rocking Evangelion Unit 01 colours except somehow far more painful to look at. He's definitely the runt of the two, with a slightly blobby scorpion mode and rather unimpressive torpedo mode, but I still love him.

The armoured forms are awful though.

Thanks to Wilton Wong on Facebook, we have our first in-hand images of the upcoming Robots In Disguise Warrior Scorponok figure! Scorponok is a brand new mold based on the Season 2 baddie who showed that he was the muscle and he could be in charge. Scorponok features a transformation different from pretty much every other Scorponok ever, and while housing a slight backpack with his scorpion tail and no real hands, he does appear to be a solid figure and he even includes the ability to place his beast mode head over his regular robot head. He's a sweet looking figure. So far he appears to be another strong release for the RiD cons. The only bad RiD con so far is Steeljaw.

Mutant mask? Scorponok looks okay so far. I don't want to be the bad grape in the vine, but I can't make any final judgments before I see Takara's Scorponok.

Yeah I noticed that paint as well. He looks great. Very original for a scorpion transformer. What I find very interesting is how his bucaneer like sabr becomes his stinger.

He really is a unique bugger and I love it. The skinny legs look a bit weird to me, but overall he is a darn good looking guy

Yeah, it takes a certain type to be able to easily get past them; they are fairly extreme in his case though :-?

Yeah, they are very extreme. Its because for this toy, it seems the designers wanted to give something very new with having the limbs not be anything repeated from the alt mode (which is very hard to do with beasts), so he ends up having a lot of kibble in the back and on his shoulders with small arms and legs that can tuck away easily in alt mode. It was a bold decision and I give it merrit but I do admit that it would have probably been better to integrate some more alt mode into the limbs. I will still get this guy though, I am a sucker for original designs.

But if someone wants an awesome transforming Scorpion bot, Beast Wars Scorponoc offers an excellent and very modern transformation.
