John Warden hyped the character up as having a twist for us to look forward to in season 2, but Scatterspike never appeared in season 2. Quillfire did, but there wasn't a twist with him either, unless one counts his having gotten his own Mini-Con duo, Back and Forth, but that's not really a twist since practically every Decepticon-of-the-day in Season 2 had their own Mini-Cons.
Maybe he was referring to season 3?
Isn't season two effectively split into two parts? The first half concluded with Decpticon Island 2-parter, and the second half will debut in the fall. At least that's what I remember reading.

I still remain impressed that Hasbro painted the rims on that mold.

Holy *bleep* they did, shame they couldn't manage that for every figure, god knows they need it

He is actually one figure that looks great with out a ton of paint (probably why the DID paint the rims). But, the plastic colors and the way they're disbursed around the different parts of the figure work really well. I actually am a big fan of that.
I kinds like the colors on this guy better than Quillfire. They're nice and Decepticony.

I didn't notice the packaging until now, so the new head design seen in it escaped me. I'd/We'd already seen the toy itself long before we ever saw any packaging for it, so we knew it'd be a straight redeco from the onset. Whoever made that packaging design must've chosen to get creative with the design or didn't get the memo of the toy being a mere redeco. Either way, the guy didn't appear in the show, so it's kinda moot anyway.Hellscream9999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Hellscream9999 wrote:So is anyone else perturbed by the fact that Scatterspike clearly does not sport the appropriate head? Of course I'm serious, his head clearly doesn't look like the package art. This led me to wonder if the likes of characters I liked - like Simacore and Polarclaw - might not get any retooling if Scatterspike didn't. Or am I misunderstanding you?

Quillfire was in the show but not Scatterspike. Season 2's over now, so you're free to catch up (best case being via KissCartoon) before season 3 hits in the Fall.Hellscream9999 wrote:Really? huh, haven't watched much of season 2, and I didn't remember much of season 1 to know whether he looked like that in the show. Hasbro called what's coming in the Fall "season 3" in an interview with TFormers at BotCon. And, well, the "Decepticon Island" two-parter was unambiguously a finite conclusion of a finale, wrapping up and completely closing the main ongoing plot of season 2.Hellscream9999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Quillfire was in the show but not Scatterspike. I thought it was being split into two halves of a season? I've got sites for catching up, I was just tired of the incessant whining from primes team and the dumb human characters, I'll probably catch up at some point, but it left a poor impression on me, so I'm in no hurry.

Me too, but it wasnt complete and you can see his rhino head detached from his back and turned into an "accessory". The person has been reported. Shouldnt be too hard to track since we know it happened between yesterday and today and the person had to be at the service desk to get the exchange, so they can review the camera footage.
Eh, that's a very hard thing to prove and most stores won't bother going that far. What's most likely is they put something up saying to not accept returns from that person anymore. Less likely is them telling other local stores of the same chain not to do so either, just depends on the severity and frequency with which it happens. We only did this in my retail days when high value items were frequently being "returned" via dumb package swaps like this. Like someone returning a Bluray player that they "never opened", was obviously retaped, and a VCR was inside the box. This happened.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Wait... toy swappers can actually get reported? How about prosecuted for theft or even fraud?
