BBTS has listings up for Wave 2 leaders and Wave 4 deluxes and voyagers, all estimated for this month. Man I wish they'd wait a month to come out, I'm still recovering from the holidays.

We have some good news to share on this new year's day (Happy New Year by the way), with the names of all components of the upcoming Studio Series Devastator combiner revealed along with their release schedule. An image from the inner instructions of the first Constructicon releases show us everyone needed to make Devastator, each sold separately, and the year they are coming out.

Here is the breakdown:

2019 Releases
- Scrapmetal deluxe
- Hightower deluxe
- Longhaul voyager
- Rampage voyager

2020 Releases
- Mixmaster
- Scavenger
- Scrapper
- Overload

That Scrapper is intriguing since he seems to take on the entire arm instead of half like Scrap Metal, meaning it would be a different toy. We do not have confirmation for the size classes of the Consttucticons coming out in 2020. What do you make of all this? Let us know!

Man, spaced out over the course of two years, that sucks big time, but I guess this confirms that they have plans to keep the series alive for at least this and next year; would also explain why the prototype they showed off only had som of the limbs finished, but man, that still sucks

I disagree. I cannot speak for everyone but money isn't necessarily tight but it doesn't flow like a tap, so splitting the 8 figures up over 2 years spaces it out and allows smaller purchases across time that spending about 200 quid at once. particularly if I'm right and Scavanger is a leader class figure.

OK, so I am disappointed in Devastator taking 2 years to complete.

But, this brings up 2 good things/points:

1) Maybe they are going to stick with 2 leaders a year in the first wave like they did last year with Grimlock and Blackout, and maybe this year with Megatron and Jetfire. The leaders next year, or 1 later this year could be Scavenger and even Overload or Mixmaster.

2) This means more figures can be voyagers by allotting them proper space and not overloading (heh) a wave with constructicons.

So we could end up with deluxe Scrapmetal and Hightower, Voyager Long Haul, Rampage, Scrapper, Mixmmaster, and Overload, and Leader Scavenger and potentially Overload and/or Mixmaster

Indeed, but TFCC Nexus Prime still holds that record with a whopping 5 years, 1 figure a year!

I'm confident all figures will see release in some shape or form, no worries about that.

If nothing else, the Constructions being split over two years gives me time to decide whether or not I actually want to go down that particular rabbit hole. So far Rampage is the only Constructicon I'm definitely going to buy, though Scrapmetal and Lomg Haul are on my 2019 maybe pile. If I decide not to complete the line-up, I may end up just getting those three and Mixmaster.

A new image of Studio Series SS 38 Bumblebee Movie Optimus Prime has been uploaded to Instagram.
It is an in hand image of Optimus Prime posed in his robot mode.

To those unaware, we know from a previous image (shown below) that the alternate mode is very inspired by the truck in the G1 cartoon. We also know he has a 35 step conversion and that the figure comes with the "San Francisco Bridge" backdrop, which is where he meets Bumblebee at the end at the end of the film.

This figure will be coming out mid spring next this year.

Some figures are released roughly the same time, but others, like ROTF Starscream coming in January or helicopter Dropkick coming in March, are way off. Those 2020 release from Takara Tomy could be late 2019 for Hasbro.

That's Chinese, so it's still Hasbro schedule give or take a few months. TakaraTomy releases do usually come later than Hasbro, but both sets of 4 should still be released within the two years specified.

I think he looks really good,but I get where you are coming from.The G1 designs should't be the only influence on the robots.
