Yep! I got these paintbrushes from Amazon a while ago, and they have these thin plastic covers that are the perfect diameter to fit on the existing smokestacks. So, I cut one in half and painted them silver, and they work great!

Carnivius_Prime wrote:Ok I done what you did. Looking at my photo now I think I made them a bit too long but I can always cut them down a bit later. Thanks again for the idea. The truck just looked so wrong with stumpy stacks.

Also, I’m sure it’ll be gone pretty quickly but Long Haul is currently in stock on Amazon.

I should be ok. But damn it's difficult even collecting a reasonable affordable line like Studio Series when not had a proper job in over 7 years due to health condition stuffs. I sell what I can and make a lil bit extra here and there but I'm mostly just on employment & support allowance. So I shouldn't reeeeally be buying 50 quid figures. My birthday itself is costing me over £200 in flying up to Edinburgh for one night (hotel is £80 by itself) to go support my friends in the drama group I'm in for their two productions they're doing all week up there. I couldn't afford to join them on stage for those ones. I just doing the home show stuff here in town.
But yeah no chance of Masterpiece Movie figures for me.

Hey happy early birthday Carnivius! Hang in there man remember, one step at a time, one day at a time. Aim for two to three things to get done in a day and if you don’t get those things done, it’ll be ok. My wife taught me that it totally helped me through my own tough times. You do deserve a treat here and there, it’s what makes it all worth it. Especially a Transformer on a birthday![]()
Till all are one pal, hope the support stuff goes well!

Thank you. Damn i wish i had a wife. Haven't even had a girlfriend during my entire 30's. A few false starts and that's all. Bit weird. But yeah I do my daily routines and try to push myself and there are some things I can do fine and others are like super difficult yet most folk do them without even a second thought. I'd like a new brain but I stuck with this gooey melted one. Never mind. I feel bit less bad about ordering DotM Prime today though. Not sure why. But I am looking forward to painting it up a bit and having both Jetwing and Jetpower Optimus at same time. Plus good ol' SS05 Optimus who has no jetpack but he's still a lovely dude in his own way. I'm in a very tired state today and that's ok.
Hope everyone's been having a nice week and enjoying Transformery toy things.

Been there. Nice to know I’m not alone. Not weird - don't hold yourself to some preset standards. You’re on your own path friend, and that includes Transformers, which automatically sets you at a high bar I mean come on now we can all agree on that![]()
I still can’t believe they did Jetwing and the weapons ring. Studio Series mostly rocks it there’s a few misses but mostly I love em. I don’t particularly love this version of Prime but I love what they’re doing.
A DotM Shockwave better be on its way.
Stargrave wrote:I believe the fine print in the instructions mentions something about a refrigerator and a full orchestra, but don't quote me on those last two.
EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:The shield is a bummer, but that's really the only negative for me. I'm SO excited for this figure, I went out and bought the paint I'll need for it the other day. The extra weapons are ready to go, I have smokestacks, and the parts from SS-05 are painted up and ready to swap. I just have to decide whether I'll leave the dark gray on Prime as is or if I'll paint it silver.![]()
I just hope it arrives a little sooner than Pulse's estimate, otherwise I won't see it till Christmas.Stargrave wrote:I believe the fine print in the instructions mentions something about a refrigerator and a full orchestra, but don't quote me on those last two.
Now I want the scene where the trailer transforms at the start of DOTM but instead of weapons all the Autobots fly out, instruments in hand.
Carnivius_Prime wrote:Cool review. Yay for pins in that backpack. One of mine came kept coming off quite easily til I tightened the joint with some nail polish but pins are better.
My order update says "We estimate that delivery will be made on 03-08-2019, between 09:42 and 12:42" so that's nice.
Stargrave wrote:I’ve always wondered about using materials to tighten pins I’m worried about melting the plastic how do you do that Carnivius?

Love all the stuff on the newspaper too. A SS wishlist. Unicrons horn thing from TLK. Bumblebee doing double peace signs...Stargrave wrote:I’ve always wondered about using materials to tighten pins I’m worried about melting the plastic how do you do that Carnivius?
Dunno about tightening the pins themselves (the SS32 doesn't have pins where the DotM has added them) but yeah applying a very thin layer of clear nail polish or (if you're VERY careful) superglue in where a joint moves adds a nice extra bit of friction to stop joint being loose. Works great on balljoints too. Also some kinds of joints like that SS32 Prime bit (or on SS01 Bumblebee's roof joint before they put the pin in the later Clunker release) can be heated up easily with a hairdryer to soften the plastic then squeeze those parts tighter around the joint so where they cool and harden again they're a tighter fit than before. If that makes sense. I'm terrible at trying to explain things in words. :/
