What I think the best way to describe it is it's simply a fun game. There's not too much deapth to it, & it is a tad glitchy(I assume that'll get fixed later), but while you play it, it's fun. run around & tear stuff up. Great time, great time.DorkimusPrime wrote:So how's the single-player game? I've read less-than-flattering things about it on gaming websites, but it hasn't stopped me from coveting it.
You know, it's weird how people keep going on about how the driving is bad....but it really never seemed to be a problem to me. I dunno, maybe I'm just better at driving than the average person.Lapse Of Reason wrote:In many ways, the game feels like a glorified verson of the retro game Rampage. You walk around and destroy stuff.
It is a fun game, but is far from perfect.
The graphics and sound on the 360 are pretty sharp. Nothing spectacular though, and I have noted some clipping and other glitches. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say 8 / 10.
Gameplay is okay. The missions and even the action get repetitive. Shooting is often a waste of time and it is more effective to just keep smashing your melee attack button.
The biggest problem is driving, especially with Bumblebee in the Hoover Dam missions. It feels like you are driving on ice! The car seems to float and it is easy to catch yourself bouncing from wall to wall. I also find myself just transforming to bot mode to get unstuck and turned the right way. Gameplay I's rate a 7 out of 10, because smashing stuff as a big TF is still fun.
Overall, this is a mediocre game escalated to a must have game (for me anyway) simply because it is Transformers.
