Is 2 weeks really the time we now wait to call something a shelfwarmer?
Well how long should it be, dude? Nobody ever told me how long somethin's gotta sit. Can you throw me a bone here?![]()
After two weeks there's NO other leaders there except Prime, and it's the same one sitting in the same spot at the same funky angle it was when I got Megs. All I'm saying is... they got nothin' else in. I was lucky to get the only Megs that showed up, and I'm not sure they're gonna get any more.
Yes, any Deluxe Class Transformer from TLK should be about (maybe a little less or more than) $20, depending on exactly where you look. Bumblebee, Berserker, Barricade, those guys. Not that I'd wholeheartedly recommend any of them for that price, you'd be far better off saving a bit more and getting one of the Voyagers from Wave 2 or 3 - they're much better figures by comparison, and far more worth their price-tag, even if that price-tag is a bit higher.Jason5billion wrote:Are there any TLK Transformers with eight steps or more that cost less than $20? I saw a Hot Rod Walmart exclusive for about that much; but he only had about three steps, so that's why I wouldn't pay much for that figure. I did see larger leader Transformers that had plenty of steps, but they're about $50. Now if someone gives me examples of Dinobots, that won't do because I have plenty of beast Transformers now. I know TTC's don't have many steps, but at least they're they're not expensive, and you get a surprise when you see what's inside.

Yeah but the idea of a shelfwarmer is that the toy is still there when the line outstayed its welcome. Thats what makes them so distinctive. In this case you have a movie leader in the shelf space for movie leaders for people to buy while waiting for a restock. Thats just business as usual. You get where I am coming from right?

Is Berserker worth buying? I enjoyed Barricade for what he was, and Berserker does look cool. Plus I just adore the Dread designs.

From what I've seen and read, his biggest problems are the panels not being glued in so they fall off during transformation. He still seems better than his twin Crankcase, though that's not saying much.

Only problems are that distribution is really bad as of now and I'm really uncomfortable with taking figures apart. Hopefully it could work.

Wouldn't it be weird, Soundwave with a samurai chest?

I can glue the alt mode front since the faux chest doesn't fit the DOTM asthetic, also some epoxy clay could work make some new details.

Oh so it's more like a structural issue. Nice.
I do hope your custom will still transform.
Also, a challenge out of the left field. Why not make that Soundwave AoE/TLK style? And plot twist, no mouthplate and he have LIPS! Gasp!
Quantum Surge wrote:But Movie Soundwave never had a mouthplate. Still, the AOE/TLK style design could work for him, maybe a Doctor Claw homage could work.
