I think I remember seeing some talks of a price reduction of the TR Leader figures at Walmart down to $39.73. I can confirm that.

I've seen that price for a while, Target is doing the same thing. Too bad the only leaders I've seen in stock recently are CW Skywarps heh...which is why I got Soundwave from Amazon, I have no clue if/when/where I will ever see a Sixshot.

Also, not that I don't believe anyone...but it just seems odd that if Sixshot it plentiful in Canada, I think I'd see more of them on eBay. The only ones there now are all from Asian markets.

It's not just TR either. My Walmart has that price on their 3 AOE leader Grimlocks. Maybe that'll be enough to move them. Probably not. I'm sure they'll be there for the new movie

Nope, I have a feeling ninja patience will pay off at Barter town. Blaster is seriously overstocked at my local TRU.

Maybe plentiful in Canada but not enough cash to buy and scalp to ebay.

Blaster and SW are both shelf warming in my local TRU. I wouldn't call them overstock as they are the same figs over 4 months old.

And the JP G1 put it much further with mass shifting in Masterforce. The Pretenders turn into human sized warriors from their robotic forms.

Diver (in human form) was even riding Lander's vehicle mode.

Budiansky's take on the Pretenders was a bit hokey by stating that humans won't be too scared of 50 foot tall human as opposed to 50 foot tall robots.

Toys are expensive here in Canada that's why.

Regular prices for deluxe are $24.00 Cad in my area and leaders are right around or a little over $60.00 Cad.


I don't think a scalper is going to pay over $300.00 for 8 or 9 leaders.

Woah, wait, what? Which retailer charges 24 for a deluxe? The most I see at primary retailers is 20, and there are often discounts.

Meant to say $21.94 sorry which I think is the full price including tax on a deluxe I also took a look at a recite of mine from recently and a leader class is 59.99 without tax.

By the way Will that save 20 dollars toys r us coupon did not apply to Fortress Maximus so he was still $150.00 instead of $130.00 like that recent news article said because Fortress Maximus was already on discount which the coupon does not effect.

I wrote that in the news article because it worked for me, and here is the proof. This is my order for MB Bumblebee:




I was able to apply the code of 20$ off onto BB who was already discounted to 69.99.

And people were able to apply it to Fort Max online too. Nothing stops you when you do it online, as you can see. What happened is you probably tried to do it in stores, and while the system doesnt block when a transaction is done in stores, you might have had a clerk read the fine print and choose not to try it. Just go to another TRU, print out the sheet and cut the fine print. They will just scan it and it should work. Or buy fort max online (though they do charge shipping).

So, the more I look at the new TR Kup, the more I enjoy him. I personally feel he is a much better homage to the G1 source material than anything we've gotten before, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a cartoon-accurate paintjob from Takara. I feel that the body proportions are the best we've seen, as the chunkiness of the 2011 incarnation just didn't do it for me.

Btw i don't think that there is a real world vehicle that looks like Kup(the g1 looking one anyway), but god knows what real world vehicle Bay would choose if he were to put Kup in one of the TF films

nah...he's too old for Mullets, he's a flat-top or buzzcut guy all the way. If he had been turned into a human in the OTF episode "Only Human" I'd picture him something like Robert Loggia from ID4, however I admit that has something to do with his recent character retcons as an old Sergeant, rather than just an old soldier.

By the way guys, an insider posted that regarding the Nuremberg fair, Hasbro has security super tight and not only should we expect no images, but it requires extra access to even get into the hasbro booth even if one is already invited to the show. So we wont be getting any reactions or descriptions either. The only thing we know is that they revealed all the movie toys they have to show. But we knew we would see these at Toyfair anyways.
