Now, this is still just a rumor, but as some Peg Tags at a North Carolina Walmart have revealed, we have a more than slight indication that a Deluxe Shockwave is in our future. Check out the provided photographic evidence!
This might seem a little *ahem* illogical, however, seeing as he just got a legend-class toy in the Combiner Wars toyline, but hey, at one time during CW we had two different sized versions of Skywarp on the shelves at the same time, so anything can happen!
Will this new Shockwave be revealed later this month at New York Toy Fair? Stay tuned to Seibertron.com to find out, as our coverage will be starting soon!
That's the barcode for FoC Shockwave from a few years ago. Check the gallery and you'll see the barcode # is the same.

Well you have to look at the last number for the bar code for the fall of cybertron shockwave then look at the price tag for this shockwave the last number on the foc shockwave is not there on the price tag
Bronzewolf wrote:UPDATE: Fellow Seibertronian jamesbenjamin points out that the barcode seen on the tag corresponds (except for the final digit) to that of Fall of Cybertron deluxe Shockwave from years ago, as seen below.
The date on the new tag, however, has been updated - so we'd suggest diving into your bag of salt once more, and just consider this a misnamed placeholder for a new deluxe figure from the Titans Return line, though probably not the Decepticon commander.

The date on the sticker is the date it was printed. The last number of a barcode number is a check digit and is not related to the product's number. It can be different in different systems.
The last number of every barcode is a check digit. It is not part of the number of the product.

I literally said this is not Shockwave, but another deluxe Titans Return figure. How is that misleading?
EDIT: I changed the phrasing again, for ease of understanding.

Some of us weren't able to purchase it when this toy was released.

Ooh; that's a pretty impressive resemblance aside from the colours and a few cases of unavoidable kibble. Absolutely loving it
Expect TakaraTomy to ruin the homage by slapping his G1 accurate "98" on it:

You sure it's not 86? as in the year written below the picture
The smaller 'o' of the 8 is facing us, indicating that the number we're looking at is upside down. The upside down rubsign also helps.
Ah right thanks
weird though....you would've thought that they could've numbered it to coincide with that year

he isnt being rereleased. If you want this toy you have to go to eBay or other avenues.
Wolfman Jake wrote:Yeah, I'm glad this Shockwave stuff has been debunked. Shockwave needs a voyager class figure, not another spindly deluxe figure. For that matter, we need voyager sized seekers already. It seems every other size class for them has been covered over the years, except for the one that would be most in scale with the general "Classics/Generations" scale of deluxe-sized Autobot cars.
Better. Still not perfect. I'm wary. I feel like they may loosen over time and play.steals_your_goats wrote:Cobo how are Krok's hips? Better than skullcruncher?

Fun fact: Aircraft carrier numbers are oriented to face the planes taking off and landing. Ehich means the Hasbro # on TR Broadside is actually the one upside down
