You have to be joking bro. Else I question your sanity. (And that's pretty bad when a Joker knockoff is questioning your sanity.)
Regarding detail and overall construction: yes. They are no-where near MP. However, to say they are hardly better than Rescue Bots is highly distasteful.

I'm planning on this being my perfect Megsy purely from appearance and scale... but I plan to have Megatron displayed with Soundwave, the Cassettes, Devastator, Reflector, Blitzwing and Astrotrain. So it's either this is a retool so great they're distinguishable from each other, or I go with the Generations one everyone hates.
Or wait another 7 years for them to do Blitzwing again.

If Getaway is a sign of things to come, expect Hasbro to only switch out the Titan Master for Megatron's redeco. On that note, does Astrotrain feature any sculpting changes from Sentinel?

Astrotrain has absolutely no sculpting changes from Sentinal Prime, aside from a different face.

Takara: "Alright, put them in a dynamic pose that reflects the size and magnitude of this epic toy." "Have hin stare out into the open."
Hasbro: DERP "Alright, put him in a battle pose that reflects his awesome power."

To me, it looks like Hasbro's Fort Max is trying desperately to get a waitress' attention, or is politely trying to interject himself in a conversation. Takara's For Max looks like he's in a heroic stance, leading a battalion of Autobot Warriors on the front line, waiting for the signal to clash arms with the Decepticons.

In... in what world is that a battle pose

Oh, yeah, good point, and I was going to chime in on this too. I think the only real difference I've seen is how the feet are oriented. Generally Astrotrain's feet have had shuttle nose toes, and Sentinel Prime's feet have cow-catcher train phalanges. (Okay, I kinda failed at that attempt at alliteration... )

How do you get crushing from that?
