So far, there was a CW Machinima panel, an IDW panel, a RID panel, and the breakfast with the toy reveals on display.

Bad news then. The Hasbro Transformers Generations panel was yesterday and no toys were revealed. It was all about the media:

On Thursday, July 21st at 11:00 a.m., join members from Hasbro's TRANSFORMERS design teams and creators and talent from Machinima for the Transformers Generations: More than Meets the Eye panel. In this session, fans will get to view never before seen content from the anticipated digital series from Machinima, Transformers Combiner Wars, which is the first installment of the Generations Prime Wars Trilogy, launching on August 2nd. Stop by the Hasbro booth at 12:30 p.m. following the panel for an autograph session with some of the creators behind this new series.

There is no other scheduled panel. The reason for the lack o toys is most probably because they now have another big convention to show stuff at: Cybertron Con in Shanghai. They are an official con now and handled by the Reed Pop convention giants (who might take over Botcon here on out, stay tuned). They will have panels with the toy designers (both Takara and Hasbro, which is cool) so odds are thats a new avenue for reveals. Here is the panel description for that event:

Cybertron Con will include panel discussions and autograph opportunities with many of the most notable names in the Transformers franchise, including: Transformers Prime concept artist Walter Gatus, Hasbro Development director of Hasbro's TV and film division Josh Feldman, Takara Tomy designers Shogo Hasui and Yuki Hisashi and veteran writers from the Transformers IDW comic series Sara Pitre-Durocher, James Raiz and Alex Milne

Of course its all speculation, but this is the most logical conclusion I could come up with. They didnt have that huge official press release for nothing, I think this will become the next big thing for Transfomers Conventions (and thus reveals).

TBH I'm very happy with what was revealed. Easily enough to tide me over for a while.

Not as poopy as last year where all that was revealed were G2 repaints, Scatterhot and Victorion (who we already knew was coming due to it being a fan choice).

This is leagues above that in my opinion. Gnaw alone is a better reveal than any of last year.

Same here. I'm good with the RiD Trailer, Megs, Lione, and a potential throttlebot mass mold

I'm still not interested in most of TR, but that Alpha Trion is gorgeous in both beast and robot modes, and his vehicle mode's pretty cool too, if not on the level of the other two.

That's pretty clearly a lion, and there is no way in hell they could get Alpha Trion's G1 design to transform into anything identifiable, much less get a triple changer out of it.

Considering the potential the Headmaster gimmick holds for potential replacement heads, are there any you guys wanna see from either third parties or through the Titan Master class?
Just a quick list I can think of:-

-Galvatron. Just. Just a good Galvatron head.
-IDW Blurr
-Faceplate-less Hardhead (yes yes, I know, Takara; but that's a completely different colour scheme and doesn't work with the Hasbro version)
-Faceplate-less Brainstorm (okay Takara will probably do this but still)
-Cyclonus' Armada-esque Sweep heads
-Devcon
-Faceplate-less Optimus (the Apex one isn't quite like that, it resembles Orion Pax more)

I mean, I'd be ok with it. Be nice to have some different head options for the same character like that

Recieved my fort max today and the electronics don't work!! I'd already fully stickered and assembled the bugger before I put the batteries in to check him out too.... ...I can't send this back now. Anybody know of any common issues or anything that could help?

This is Megatron I've been looking (et Praying) for to go in my collection. I like his overall look and his tank mode, not fussed either way by his Leader-1 looking jet mode.

Loving the inclusion of a new Lione.
Nice to see Gnaw (finally) materialise.
Bee looks good, but I'd have prefered it to be (pun not intended) Throttlebot Chase/Freeway/Searchlight instead.

Brainstorm is merely OK. I'll get the Generations one I think.

Bumblebee looks good, but I'm kinda wondering if I should get the old Legends instead, or even the MP seeing as it's basically a Deluxe (and therefore to scale in vehicle mode).

Gnaw is adorable (agnawable?) and I want like 10. Maybe get some of iGear's old Sharkticons and the Sharkticon Megatron, so I can have a sort of hierarchy of Sharkticons- Swarmers, Soldiers and a Brute.

Megatron is ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I want to like him, especially now I can see his legs aren't open hollow shells, but the proportions are just wonky as all hell and the fusion cannon is puny. Ironically enough I actually like the tank better with the gun off- it reminds me of a German WW2 light panzer of some description. The jet mode is cool though. In conclusion, I'll carry on with my custom made from Dropshot (once I get a new airbrush). I can see it working OK for Blitzwing with a new gun but the proportions, unless they're a lot better in person, are still making me think the Generations figure with the dirt-cheap shoulder fixes is a better option.

Overkill- sorry, Overboard (seriously, what is it with the new sanitized names?) is...actually kinda cool. Sure I'd prefer a proper cassetticon (especially what with a new Soundwave coming out...albeit one I'm not going to buy because it's TOO BLOODY BIG) but for my little brigade of "Cassettes-except-not" (including Armada Fetch as Rumble and 3 RID Mini-cons) he'll do nicely. I'd probably buy him over Crashbash/Squeezeplay to be honest.

This new plastic is great! Gnaw in particular! But it is kinda shameful that they did the exact same thing with Megatron as they did with Sentinel. But at least he could pass as his own character...Megatron is just blatantly Blitzy with Megatron's face!

Well I like the new megatron, it seems to be strongly based on Alex Milnes control art for MTMTE, and I think it'll probably scale alot better with the generations figures like magnus and skids, than the leader megatron from last year. The jet mode's actually really nice, It would look awesome painted like machine wars Megaplex.

You will probably only see Trypticon next february at the NY Toy Fair.

Its not time to cry foul yet. Believe it or not, these toys are actually street dated August 1 (confirmed on TRU computer). Obviously, that street date isnt reinforced in any way but the street date lets us know that before that date, any find is simply early stock for lucky fans. Stores are probably wanting to free up some warehouse space and things are shipping quick from hasbro (as stores already have wave 2 for some classes). But that just indicates that stores will have both waves in due time. What you dont want is a store to never put any stock on its shelves, as was the case with Skylynx. People finding them at large retail stores should be a sign of comfort about distribution, not the opposite. At least not yet.

I'll be getting Overkill myself; because A) that Dino/Bird set looks way too fun to pass up, and B) for some reason I've been really into Overkill recently. Dunno why. Just... have. It's odd
Then again I might also get Clobber just to pretend the bird is Wingthing. Improvisation!

I love the IDW homage. However, I HATE that gray plastic. I loved this thing when I first saw the leaked image of Megatron's MORE NICELY PAINTED self.
