was not expecting this tho the silhouette did hint at the possibility. I'm on the fence because though I really like what they're doing at the moment, I was more than satisfied with the generations figure we already have. Same thing happened with jetfire and i ended up buying the combiner wars figure. I'd rather they gave us the other 2 original headmasters.. highbrow would be an awesome toy to update.

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far on Blurr. If I understood Will, then I agree on cybertron alt modes. I prefer that futuristic look. I'm hoping TR brings more cybertron alt modes.

As far as shoehorning the headmaster gimmick on non headmaster characters; that never stopped them from making non combining bots combine. And it has never stopped me from buying them.

I have no history with headmasters, but I think it's a fun bit of added play value and easy to ignore if you don't like it.

I'm looking forward to having a bunch of vehicles parked outside of various bases with their little head guys partying it up inside.

Heck I don't even mind if a 3rd Party head is still a headmaster so long as they also supply the Targetmaster and the robot mode head looks like Blurr more than Hasbro's seems to.

I suppose the head could turn into a gun and store on the outside.

What really bakes my clams is that the smaller Vehicle sets show that the heads can also be designed to fold and store as effectively a form of Engine - and yet they dismiss outright the idea of Powermasters while allowing some Titanmasters to still pull of a very similar trick - contradictory much...

I personally love Headmasters, and don't mind non-headmaster characters getting in on the gimmick. As long as it doesn’t damage the overall aesthetic and feel of the figure I’m cool with it.
