Got my first taste of TR today. I had to hit 4 Targets, 3 Walmarts, and a TRU. Found a lonesome Scourge at the first Walmart and a single Blurr and Rewind at the last Walmart. Target and TRU havent even begun stocking them yet.

I like all three a lot, but I might just be having TF withdrawls since mine are all still packed away from the move. I don't mind Blurr's deco in hand. Scourge's legs can be turned around to add some variance in the color scheme and it might actually look better than the official transformation. Rewind's arms are a bit bulky for my tastes but I still like him. Oh, there was also a couple Stripes at my final stop but I wasn't interested.


RID stuff seems to be on clearance at a lot of places too. Saw some minicons for 4 bucks, and the launcher guys for 15. 4 pack minis were 12 at one walmart also.

Oh no, I just realized my Rewind's red dot is on the side of his face instead of on the camera lens. Bummer. Also wosh they'd have put a peg or a port on his back so his gun could function as an antenna. Though it can kinda of do that on the side or back of his arm. Oh well.

I'm jealous of that Hardhead with the two guns.

An update.

For simple transformers like you get with these mainline deluxe figures, I never read the instructions. I just fiddle till I figure it out.

Today I picked Skulls masher up off the floor where my kid had left it, and discovered that his knees lock into his lower legs in Robot mode. While his hips are still a loose floppy mess, this makes him much more stable. I wish I had known this from the get go, though as a stubborn male, I'll keep ignoring the instructions.

I've only seen pictures of Pretender stuff, but I'm not really a fan, so I really hope that's not where the next line (post-LK) goes...
Selfishly, I want a Predaking, Abominus, Piranacon, and legitimately updated Dinobots.
Tbh, after that, it won't matter too much to me where future lines go.

The only TR figures I have any interest in are TT Blurr and Trigger Happy.
I'm open to all of it, just not sold on much of anything right now.

I'm very curious; why specifically do you want Piranacon?
I'm not judging or anything, Piranacon is really cool, but it just sounds a little odd to me when there's a lot more significant G1 guys before him and your goal is collecting G1 cartoon-accurate figures.

Here are some reasons:
I'm a big fan of combiners. And Decepticons.
I think a new version could be better than the original, relative to how it would be at least slightly re-designed.
CW/UW has upped my want of lines that give us stuff that new--
New in terms of characters that haven't been legitimately updated,
as well as those who are considered more obscure than some of the classics.
I'm a bit tired of the more iconic characters that are always going to get some of the spotlight.
Especially when some of them have been updated with really decent versions already (even before CW).
Really, all of these reasons could also be applied to why I want Abominus as well.
While I appreciate figures that are as close to show accurate as updated designs allow them to be,
with Piranacon specifically,
it should be cool seeing how a 6 member team is handled--
I'd assume the CW/UW port system will be used for limb combining, but the torso is a new design issue.

There's fans of anything if you look hard enough. I've found people that legitimately unironically enjoyed Energon; there's gotta be someone out there whose kinks align directly with kiss players.

I like the non-skeevy parts of Kiss Players's two storylines. Really, just get rid of all the perverted aspects and Kiss Players suddenly becomes legitimately cool.

This is pretty much my outlook on it (from what little I now about it). Get rid of the weird lolicon stuff (which AFAIK the creator literally threw in for the sake of upsetting people) and as Sabr said, it becomes kinda cool. Even the Legion are at the very least extremely effective horror, what with their dong-tongues and people-eating habits.

All things considered I'd love some of the KP characters given some decent treatment in non-freaky fiction. So for example...
>Atari Hitotonari as the main "human companion". Instead of being a shrinking violet moeblob with no defining characteristics, she's a shrinking violet moeblob who's also a closet mecha otaku and whose room is filled with mecha posters, anime DVDs and robot model kits. That's ok. I've already decided to get Scourge after looking at Ryan's gallery of him this morning. So now I'm on the look out for Blurr and Scourge. Decided to not spend the money on Legends Blurr. Now I can get Scourge and Blurr for the same price as legends Blurr.
