Concerning the head swaps, I'd pay closer attention to the ones who were in that Legends Headmasters set, namely Chromedome, Hardhead and Brainstorm. Then again, if Hardheads and Brainstorms without mouthplates start showing up, we can conclude one of two things:

1.) It's intentional
2.) Someone at the factory needs glasses.

I actually wouldn't mind a second Brainstorm, one without a mouthplate.

does anyone know if the titanmaster paint ops carried over too? or did they just swap the faceplate

I'm thinking that one won't be as likely since he was a Walgreen's exclusive (at least in the US) and they seemed to go from wave 2 to wave 4 to wave 3 already. But Hardhead is a good call, I've got to pay more attention to those while I'm out hunting.

It's literally the Japanese Headmaster on a US Body. Plastic colors, paint apps, everything matches their respective regions.

I like both 'Domes, but slightly prefer the MTMTE version!

Which store is this, I will pick one up tomorrow. Ive traded with Scotty so he is from the same area Im from

I swear I'll have 3-5 versions of each mold by the time TR-tooling is over!

Didn't the last packing case info we got mention Chromedome being included in the next case assortments? I could be misremebering this and I can't find the info again.

I recall when they were announcing the case assortments, a couple wave two deluxes were to be rereleased along side wave three or four. This isn't uncommon to happen, as shortages of certain figures (or popularity) will cause them to be released again with later cases.

Chromedome and highbrow are indeed in a revision wave which also includes the wave 1 deluxes. That case has been hitting the US since Christmad and is still being used for restocks.

Welp, it would appear that there isn't actually a Chromedome in my local area. Bad memory strikes again. Plenty of Getaways though, maybe I should check those for Takara Chromedome heads.

But since there's been nothing new near me in the last few weeks, I have enough money already set aside to cover the Wave 4 Deluxes when they show up, and most importantly because I have an extremely weak will, I finally picked up a Leader Blaster (not even on sale or anything, literally the exact same price I would've paid for him 6 months ago). I'll be able to open him in about an hour so time will tell what I think of this guy (since I really didn't have much desire to buy him until now), but for the moment, Rewind is excitedly awaiting the chance to finally meet his boss.

better start hitting my local stores I guess. this will be an interesting hunt x.x

He's a pretty ok figure, but he really shines when you hook him up to fort max!

No Chromedomes near here. It'll be interesting to see if any other characters get the Tak treatment.

Opened up Blaster an hour ago and he's pretty good (not the best of the line by a stretch, but better than some and plenty of fun)! Normally I post a novelty photo at the end of my "spotlight picdumps" (patent pending), but this one was too important to wait.

You're totally right, this is by far the best part!

Yeah, it's a pretty flimsy configuration (Blaster doesn't even lock into himself anywhere, let alone proper attachment points to Max) and it looks kinda rubbish from any other angle, but I think it's impressive enough. Quadruple giant speaker action! (Could've sworn there was a rocking-out emoticon around here somewhere...)

AWESOME Max+Blaster shots!!!

I finally saw the wave 3 voyagers at a walmart tonight (along with some new RID stuff). They looked better in person than I was expecting, no lie. They really fit the bill of Optimus and Megatron, and not just pretools for Octone and Blitzwing. I didn't get them, but at least they look nice.
I forgot to check the Chromedomes to see if they had the US or JP heads though.

I also saw an RID Not-Bludgeon, White Drift, Starscream (not new but I haven't seen him in a good while) and that white jet. All looking good too.

I wouldn't mind actually getting a 1st Brainstorm, but we don't have Walgreens over here, to have exclusives show up in.
