I can't believe I forgot one particular redeco possibility... they could totally shove a Vector Prime from Alpha Trion into one of these boxsets, couldn't they? Didn't we also have a rumour about that?

Combiner Wars for instance had no new Leader class in Wave 6, instead giving us Skywarp again. I wouldn't hold your horses for anything more than re-issues of Overlord and Sixshot.
Eh, I'm still holding out my hopes. Heck, every wave except wave 1 has had a leader (it had 2) so I think we'll get one last figure.
And saying the last wave is usually the lame repaints isn't fair. Thrilling 30's last wave had Arcee, Chromia, and Brainstorm

I suppose, but I'm not particularly hopeful. Not only do they need to move on to the next Generations line; they've got a whole new movie to promote. Their last wave kinda needs to wind down a little rather than going out on a bang from a business perspective.
I mean I hope I'm wrong. I hope we get a badass Leader Deathsaurus flanked by Voyager Horrorcons and a new-mold Deluxe Nightbeat holding an adorable little Titan Master Steeljaw. Just does't seem terribly likely
Also, I said repaints - not necessarily lame. Hound was friggin' great.

Have some more faith!
Besides, I'm anticipating wave 5 of TR not reaching retail saturation until August or September, give April through August to the movie and it's 4 waves of toys to slam bam in there for maximum devastation!
Plus RiD combiners in the fall as well.

The heads OK but the robot mode looks a bit awkward, the jet mode looks decidedly "meh" and those swords are so not Windblade. Coupled with the stupidity of having TM seats on a SWORD...yeah.

Even with the best faith in the world I can't see the retail release looking that good. I'd love it if it did, but...
But while this figure looks good, it's the third Windblade Deluxe mold (counting RID Windblade) and the fifth domestic release including repaints IN THREE YEARS. Yeah, fan choice character and all, but 5 releases in 3 years is nuts. At this point the only way I could be interested in yet another toy of this one character would be if it were a definitive version like a Masterpiece. Especially since there are still actual -Masters that have yet to be confirmed.

The reason why I'm excited about this toy though is that they #1. have the colors right and with the IDW look, and #2. I know this toy for the most part will be well-built and sturdy unlike the Gen T30 one with the floppy heels. My only concern is that the neck connection port would be as bad as Highbrow's connection and as floppy. I really hope that isn't the case.
Also, while I get the concern about the paints apps not looking as good on the toy, you have to realize that these are not just teasing the toys, but are going to be the images on the packaging. That means they need to make sure the toys at least have the same color placement for the most part to match the toys in the packaging. And who knows? Might have another toy here with the paint quality of Alpha Trion.
Edit: I really hope she looks at least like this:

It looks good, but she's being rammed down the throat as much as OP and bumblebee.
I'm skipping the Voyager OP and Megatron because
1. Already have good voyagers of the character
2. The mold is intended for someone else.
3. Getting box sets.
4. How many voyager OP figures do I need?
I can make the same arguments for windblade except the box set (still have 2 box sets to go), which is why I'm getting her, but I'm not excited.

I'm still not sure on Windblade, honestly. There's certain proportions and shapes to her toy that I'm not quite 100% on right now, and it doesn't help that every photo has her swords blocking some part of her body so I can't quite get a good look at her. It's one I'll have to wait until it's out to decide on.

That is a good point, Kurona. I really want to see her in-hand without her weapons blocking her torso, and with her legs in a more appealing standing position rather than the weird classic "I gotta go poo poo" pose.
Plus I want a better look at that neck to see whether or not it's likely that she has that Highbrow/Scourge neck problem.

That Windblade looks even more like Thrust's Sister than she usually does.
I do like this toy and i'm looking forward to it too.
I don't own the Generations mould and I wasn't huge on the RID mould so this looks like it may be more stable and playable.

Also, must admit one particular negative about her: If she did turn out better than most Windblades... I'd still have to get the T30 Windblade for her actual sword.
The swords she has are cool, but they don't look like her normal (singular) sword at all so I'm not really sure what they were going for. The only thing I can think of is that they're pre-tooled for another use of the mold because that other use would be a character for who these swords would fit? Because right now they don't quite fit Windblade at all.
I'll have a ton of fun giving them to Alpha Bravo and Stormclash though

On the plus side, her robo-panties are a bit less blatant and her robo-heels non-existent. I remember opening the Generations figure in front of my female coworkers and they were...bemused. On the other hand her robo-boobies look to be embarrassingly pronounced, to the point where you can see them hanging from her jet-mode undercarriage...

This was the post I agreed with the most. Her proportions look off, and I realized after someone said it back at toy fair time that her wings sit too low for my liking. One to see in hand, but the first impression was not that good

Same here. I do want her normal sword, though I think we'll get that covered somehow soon with some 3rd party wince we have so many Windblade toys now, we're bound to get a Dr. Wu sword or something of the sort.
Still, I think these swords at least look good as transparent energon swords. They'll work till I get something better for her.

Really? I don't see how these robo-panties are less prominent, and maybe even more prominent than on the T30 release? You mean the Takara Legends one?
Also, robo-boobies. That's something Windblade toys have been needing. Finally. Thank the LAWD!

I meant more the shape.

The Gen. Windblade mold (modeled here nicely by Legends Slipstream) is wearing a little body-hugging number that starts about a millimeter above the hip and ending immediately below, with a thong-like line around the sides.
TR Windblade appears to get a similar treatment to male Transformers where there's just a big ol' cuboid of shapelessness between the legs, and more "material" between the top of the thigh and the top of the "underwear".
I know that the humanoid concept used for Transformers character models was meant to be like gladiatorial armour (hence the big helmets, "chest plates", "boots", "loin cloths" and "gloves" and comparatively skinny thighs and upper arms), but some female sculpts fall a little too far into the "armoured bikini" school of things.
And now I've spent way too much time both thinking about and describing robo-panties.

Lol, Yeah I get your point, but I personally see the Gen mold to look better as far as that goes. The blocky crotch just looks a little odd on a female to me. Still though, it looks alright. I'm more focused on color placement making it look more panty-like than the molding. Though, if you look at this TR Windblade at Toy Fair, from the side she kinda has the whole curvy backside look going on kinda like Gen Arcee, so is some ways it looks more thong-like than the T30 one.

Thanks to user AzT, we've been notified that Nautica (and her subsequent upcoming Titans Return figure) has gotten a bit of a spotlight over on the Hasbro Pulse blog, as well as some exclusive in-hand images! You can read the article here, and take a look at the images below! Tell us in the forums if either of these images or if the article itself changed your opinion on the figure!

She's a non-cartoon character, doesn't come from G1 AND is a fembot. Getting even a retool is a pretty big deal.
I think the biggest problem is that her headshape relies on side detailing, so the TR line isn't a great fit.
