Meanwhile, over here the only TR stuff I've seen have been Deluxes, a few TMs (but only in one shop), and an endless glut of Voyager Prime and Megatron. No other Voyagers, no Leaders at all, no Legends...
Ha ha Transformers go brrrrr

I generally see more RiD15 than TM, which is a shame...but while we're on the subject...
I wonder if I am the only one who, every time I got into a store will "clean up" the Transformers section? -Put everything on its correct peg, remove "other" toys that have been randomly left there etc...I think it's kind of a sickness but I've started doing it in hopes that when its observed that there is so little stock, more will come in. I know inventory supposedly is all kept track on computers now, but I think most retail stores still do an annual physical "inventory" count...
Conversely however, when I see, say 3 pegs for TR Deluxes, and a total of 6 in stock (3 on each peg) I know this is called "facing" to make the area look nicer, however I'll put all 6 on one peg as if to say "hey you guys have room for 12 more here...c'mon what's the deal?)

I actually do that too. I see the figures out of place, and I put them back where they should go. it's force of habit.

I didn't think about doing this before, but there's a TRU that's practically on my doorstep that I might have to start an unofficial part-time job at.

You know...a long time ago, I had a friend who was a vender for LEGO. She would go into various retail stores on her route and would actually get the product the store had, would re-arrange displays, stock them, make them look nice etc... I wish Hasbro had such people, instead of leaving it to the individual stores to stock their product. Of course I know it would probably entail about 1/3 of any given stores toys section, much more than Just Transformers, but hey, I'd do it part-time as a supplementary income.

Yeah I've always had to do that since supermarkets always put things in the wrong place.
Oh and this will probably start another argument but I bet Hasbro thought that Combiner Wars Prime WAS IDW Prime. The only difference is that they shoved some of his design cues onto the Motormaster version of the mould instead. But shape wise it's closer to an IDW Optimus than it is to G1 or Classics. and it certainly isn't a 1980's Freightliner.

I don't know how I feel about that. I can see why you say that, but I think it was Motormaster that they said "hey let's use this for prime"
There are quite a few notable differences.

The only Prime hasbro specifically made as IDW Prime was the Legends prime mold which was eventually used for Huffer and Pipes

If we wanna get technical; Thrilling 30 Orion Pax was directly based on the design in IDW's Spotlight: Blurr.
I'm still very confused why of all designs the one that made a cameo only in a very minor short story not even about him got the toy, but hey, I'm not complaining.

TITANS RETURN

Chromedome's robot mode resembles the G1-based body he had "Shadowplay", but only in sculpt. The colors are a bit off (ironically, the color scheme of Takara's Chromedome is a bit closer to that of IDW Chromedome's "Shadowplay" body).Cobotron wrote:Here's a question for all you IDW super fans, which....

And Brainstorm's SDCC figure was colored to resemble IDW Brainstorm's deco, but his sculpt is more G1-based (the previous non-TR Voygaer Brainstorm has the more IDW-accurate sculpting).

Well, Perceptor's a very easy win. Every detail of his body - bar, ironically, the head - is modeled after the design he's had since All Hail Megatron and still has; and he even has the sniper rifle.
Rewind's also pretty close though loses points for the bulky arms.
And there's a lot of characters whose TR figures work better for an IDW display more than any other previous iteration; Megatron in particular.

So Astrotrain keeps getting called out for looking like his Storm Bringer design (is that right? Stormbringer?).
Was that an IDW series, or Dreamwave?

Stormbringer was IDW; but the design people keep referring to as what the TR Voyager is based on is unfortunately an unused design.
I suppose while we're at it, Sentinel Prime, Infinitus, Sovereign, Cerebros and Fortress Maximus or all very IDW-accurate by technicality due to being the figures featured in IDW's Titans Return event.

IDW. Although, Astrotrain didn't actually appear in that series. The toy is instead based on a design that was drawn for Stormbringer, but which didn't make it into the series. The design was seen in some concept sketches included as extras in the TPB. Though, it's more the transformation scheme of the design that toy is based on than any of the sketch's physical characteristics.Cobotron wrote::APPLAUSE: Now we're doin' it!![]()

Huh, good to know, I plan on catching up on that show someday.
Anyway I was serious about not being able to find the latest wave, am I just too early or was it delayed, or

Ebay has them for crazy prices but that's it.

Speaking of which, why didn't Hb/Takara ever supersized that mold (Optimus')? Heck, they were beaten by a 3rd party for something that should be hands down their project!
