Honestly, I actually like the figure even though it is literally Blurr with 2 wing pieces pressed into the arms. My honest first impression of Blurr was that his slim body could easily be used for a fembot.

Well, there goes the #3 body style for the Blurr mold.

So glad I kept my 3rd Party Quickswitch and SixKnight. While I do enjoy my Titans Return SixShot the fact that QuickSwitch is not a completely different mold, I would have preferred a different mold or some serious retooling and the only people to get it right is FansProject.

From what we know, the Titan Masters are random, though Thunderwing and Rodimus Prime share chest molds (which may mean the 4 face plates and chest are gang-molded), we know the Clones, but the Deluxes and up are harder to figure out. To help out, here are the molds that haven't had their secondary tooling revealed, if any:

And Rodimus uses Ptero/Swoop as the base. They could be anyone in the Titan Master Class

Would the chests and face-plates be molded together? I'm not too sure about how the actual molding process works, but since the chests are plastic and the faces are die-cast I wouldn't think it would be possible to mold them together. (I could be wrong though; I really have very little idea how the process works.)

And from those molds, the ones I'm willing to guess as secondary toolings are Kup into Crosshairs and Perceptor into Magnificus (that one, in particular, still seems like a very box-set kind of thing to me). In fact, if we assume that Kup will be turned into Crosshairs, that's further evidence that it'll be in a box-set - since we know from the Steeljaw situation that Hasbro prefers not to have different characters with the same name on the shelves at the same time, and TLK toys are about to strike in full force, it's unlikely for a hypothetical TR Crosshairs to be seeing mass retail any time soon. (Of course, they could always just give him a slightly modified name like Crossblast or Xrosshairx and then everything would be fine and dandy.)

Also, what about Windblade? If Scourge and Highbrow can count as unique then presumably she's also unique enough to have her own secondary tooling. Not sure what that one would be either, though.

Also also, we can't rule out any molds just because we've already seen a second use of them like Chromedome and Breakaway. Not only have we seen straight redecos of figures already released to mass retail (G2 Prime), we've also gotten Nautica who marks the third notably distinct tooling of that mold. Basically nothing's for certain, and I can almost guarantee that like half the figures in these upcoming sets are going to totally blindside us.

Yet there us going to be Rid Drift's and Movie Drift's on shelf at the same time with similar color schemes.

I wouldn't rule out a TR Crosshairs yet in fact his movie version might help sells with a TR version.

I'd argue that the similarities between RiD and Movie Drift set him in a similar boat to most Bumblebees - they're basically the same character in different lines (especially after the conscious effort to align their colors). Meanwhile, I doubt that these two have enough in common to justify that:

I fear that due to the (highly notable) differences, Hasbro would see them more as competitive moreso than complementary.

Mind you, I'm not saying that Crosshairs is impossible out of TR! In fact, I think he's one of the most likely figures to see, based on the current molds and patterns we've seen out of TR. Moreso, I'm saying that if he does happen, it'll probably be in one of the box-sets so that he doesn't interfere with sales of the other Crosshairs - whom I don't doubt we'll be seeing plenty of toys of for the next several months.

Don't forget about God Bomber, I think for the last two God Bomber will be one since Hasbro is releasing the Ginrai retool. I wouldn't be surprised if he's coming in one as Apex, and for the final one it'll be Twincast or Soundblaster. I'd rather have a full on Thunderwing with a new head and chest out of Black shadow but the Titan Master one kinda negates that. But hey, two Optimus Primes are in these sets. I can see for voyagers maybe a toy accurate Galvatron or maybe a lio Prime.

Also for voyagers they could do a G2 Megatron. Either all purple or all green with purple camo to go with laser Prime. I'd like that since there is a peg hole next to megatrons head for the canon to look slung over his shoulder.

Their are so many deluxe molds I won't even bother trying but I wouldn't limit it to "who in 87-88 hasn't been done yet" because the first two box sets are evidence that that doesn't matter.

Considering the boxsets seem to be going with the obscure later years of G1, I wouldn't be terribly surprised to see Carnivac out of Wolfwire. In fact I'm kind of crossing my fingers.

While that could be possible, I dont think later year G1 is the main theme per se. Right now the sets not only have later year G1 but also G2, Armada and IDW characters, as well as what used to be Takara exclusives.

Inner robot or outer shell colour for Carnivac ?

How about Cybertron Snarl / Galaxy Force Fang Wolf colours too ?

Though I wouldn't say no to a G2 Megs - I kinda wish the KO makers had twigged that idea with the leader - you kinda get it with Armada Megs - but not quite. I actually like the idea of Archforce as then I can at least pretend that the more red Optimus is Sureshot if I wanted to.

I think a purple jet would look badass as well. heck I'd not mind having G2 Green, G2 Purple (no writing on it though) & Flywheels as well. and while we are at it a Combat Hero Optimus Prime & RID-2001 Scourge too (Though Takara is making that one it seems).

You could also make some kinda wacky multiple homage that draws on a lot of other things like Powered Convoys Blue/Black Robot cab with perhaps a white tanker and homage the Micromaster combiner - that one might work if it had a new head and perhaps used Octane's chest.

Actually there is a thought - why not mix the parts up ? why not use Optimus' wings with Octane's jet nose, gun and chest for example ?

I'm more concerned with what Leader class figures are going in those last two box sets. I have a bad feeling it's going to be Soundblaster and Twincast.

Considering each known TR Leader mold has had at least 2 uses thus far (Optimus technically 3). It would be nice if God Bomber was the Leader of one of the Box sets, and the other was a reuse of a *hopefully* new Leader to be revealed in Wave 6.

Takara's is as tall as Super Ginrai, so slightly taller than your average TR Leader.

So...just on whim I decided to go to my local TRU this morning. Took a break form work so I showed up there just after doors opened at 10am. There were three Velocitron sets at the service desk, two were being purchased by two other guys that walked in just before me so I half-heartedly asked the clerk..."Are there any more on the shelf by chance"? . They said no, but the 3rd one could be purchased, so I got it. Apparently the other two guys were friends and just looking to see if other locations had them. There are 3 or 4 stores in my general area, and they mentioned two by name (Arden and Elk Grove). Apparently not all TRU's will be getting these, how the stores are slected though isn't currently known. I thought they would have chosen the store in a nicer area like where I got my Fort Max, but I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth.

So if anyone is in the Sacramento CA area, the Citrus Heights store had 3 of these, of which I now have one, hopefully they will get more stock in soon.

Also I'm affectionately calling this the "family" pack. I get Quickswitch, my daughter gets Nautica, and my son gets the rest .

My TRU in Ann Arbor, MI had 3 of the box sets today. Also 2 Six Shots. So the box sets are definitely hitting everywhere if Ann Arbor got them in. We generally only see good TF stock there from about October to December.

I picked one up at Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw, GA last night. Already eBayed and shipped what I didn't want. Kept Laser Prime (for my G2 collection) and Rodimus (for my movie collection, now serving as Hot Rod's head).

There were two left on the shelf.

It'd be nice to get a new mainframe but I don't think I'd appreciate him being leader class. For whatever reason a preceptor mold always screamed Mainframe to me. Maybe it's because they're both nerds. Though with the revelation of being a mutineer in MTMTE/LL he and the rest of them that turned against rodimus take an acid bath.
