ZeroWolf wrote:I'm a bit confused now, as siebs said that he'll be grey and purple (talking about the hasbro release here) so wouldn't that mean that takara would have to go white and purple (or just stick to releasing the hasbro version)?
william-james88 wrote:I have no clue where this white and purple thing is coming from aside from speculation. So far the only thing being backed up by people "in the know" is that Hasbro's TR Asrotrain will be grey and purple like he was in the G1 cartoon. That's it. We dont know about Takara. What they will propably do is use a similar colour pallete but put more paint apps, like they did with Legends Ultra Magnus.
Judging from the little we know, it seems no one will be doing a white and purple Astrotrain. If anyone has evidence supporting the opposite, please bring it forward.
ZeroWolf wrote:Thanks willso some of these comments then are giving hasbro a hard time for no good reason?
So wave 1 voyagers are Galvatron & Sentinel Prime (btw what's his titan master called?) While wave two voyagers are rumoured to be alpha trion and astrotrain (this is just my speculation given that we've been hearing a lot about them recently). So I reckon we'll see teases of the 3rd wave at botcon.

I think titans return is going to last as long as combiner wars so they have 6 waves, or 24 spots to fill. If they do all the original headmasters ( excluding the Japanese repaints) that's 15, so that leaves room for potentially 9 more figures.

We haven't seen Weirdwolf and Highbrow yet.

I don't follow the comics anymore, so are there any new stand out characters which can be shoe horned in as a - master?

The new Fembots. We haven't got a Metalhawk and Nova Prime yet. Some more Primes because the trilogy is called Prime Wars. Thunderclash, Riptide, Ratchet, Drift...
A new Rodimus Prime would also be nice.

I think it's likely that it'll last just as long. They said Trypticon will be the second titan under titans return and the titans are released between the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the year. If the line was shorter then I don't think Trypticon would be classified as titans return and instead he would be whatever the third line is.

But Trypticon proves that the toys within titan masters dont have to be headmasters. They could be different, like powermasters or targetmasters. Look at CW, we had Buzzsaw who is clearly not a combiner figure. The could include figures from the later lines.

Because Fort Max is already the poster boy for the Headmaster gimmick.![]()

Yup AND Hasbro has shown that their Titans "try" to follow their G1 components. Trypticon being a headmaster would be too big a change for the titan class.
ZeroWolf wrote:Relax though, we will get a decepticon titan class titanmaster figure in a few yearsafter all fort max is going to need his rival...
Lunatic Prime wrote:But Fort Max is also Titan class and a Headmaster. I know the original was also one but why would it be a too big change for the class?

I still think that the rivals will follow the release schedule of the earlier Titans. For example:
Metroplex - Devastator - Fort Max - 1st wave of Titans
Trypticon - Omega Supreme - Scorponok - possible 2nd wave arrangement of Titans.
All they need to do is to either release a newer version of Primus and Unicron or rerelease the older versions in G1 colors and the big city/planet bots are set for newer fans / collectors.
