Edit:
Never mind, no one passed the memo on that these two threads were merged -_-

New Stock Images Of Walmart Exclusive Transformers Retro Headmasters
- Motto: "My past no longer binds my future..."
- Weapon: Battle Blades
Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user, Blackeyedprime, has alerted us that InDemandToys have shared new stock images for the forthcoming Walmart Exclusive Retro Headmasters line via their Facebook account!
Chromedome

Hard Head

Brainstorm

Mindwipe

These toys predominantly use the toolings that Takara Tomy came up with for their Transformers Legends line (making the characters accurate to the Headmasters anime series). In places where Walmart operate, the Headmasters will retail for $20 while for UK fans, InDemandToys are selling the four of them for £80.
Are you getting any of these? Are they replacing your Titan's Returns/Legends figures or standing side by side with them? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

I have all the Japanese Autobot Headmasters but passed on the Decepticons, might grab Mindwipe to get the toon accurate head. Then again for $20 I might go for all four.

Any chances on them also reissuing Wolfwire and Highbrow, the two I missed last time?

Odds are that the second wave will be the other two Decepticon Headmasters and High Brow

Hopefully the others will be done in Wave 2, I'm struggling to think of a fourth true headmaster from the TR figures other than Cerebros. Maybe Arceee and the head turns into her unlike the orig TR figure and then I'd want a Headmaster Springer (just so the heads can be their 'human forms') tho the Siege mold would need some retooling to be cartoon accurate, so totally wishful thinking.

Does anyone have an opinion on Leader Soundwave from Titans Return? I can get the Bumblee movie version for $35 on Amazon and while he is a bit big for my collection I kinda want him for evil boombox mode. Plus I love Titan Masters, bought the Takara pack of heads on BBTS.

He's twice as expensive now, but I only like the mold for Blaster, since the design was made for him. I much prefer Siege Soundwave even though he doesn't become a tape deck, and I'm picking up the Walmart version for that. I don't care for the TR Ravage and Laserbeak molds either, and what fun is Soundwave without his tapes?

He's got a good range of articulation, and can hold both Spy Tablets and G1 cassettes (the latter are a slight squeeze, oddly). Plus he has a lovely base mode - one of the best.aronjlove wrote:Does anyone have an opinion on Leader Soundwave from Titans Return? Mine holds g1 cassettes in their larger protective plastic tape cases fine, haven't risked one rattling around in there with out them.
The figure looks a bit cheap or basic from its size but I was going to part with my tr blaster and soundwave a bit back and didn't have the heart to do it. Thpey look good together and their larger size suits them with other headmaster series figures with them being older than most of their comrades and for their fight to the death. They are a bit out of place with wfc or smaller figures but soundwaves got the added nostalgia of reminding me of the art/activity center soundwave I had as a kid. The hollow arms/forearm kibble spoil most arm poses on the siege figure, TRs not as unsightly.

I got Bumblebee Soundwave too and he's more of a radio/cassette player combo with the read outs (yeah, he got further retooled from TR Soundwave). The only real problem I have is that Doombox' (the smaller Titan Master) knees are really loose, to the point he can't stand straight.
If you have any non-working cables around, like a polarized power cord, USB cord or 3.5 mm headphone plugs, those can attach to Soundwave for a make-believe working device. See who you can fool

He's a good figure, the Bee movie one in particular is my Soundwave on the shelf, didn't bother with the Siege one or the Earthrise one. The colors are really good on the Bee movie one too. Overall just really fun. A bit big, but really fun

Turn his legs around and he makes for a great desk tidy. Can store twice the stationary of ectotron and kingdoms cyclonus. I swapped limbs with regular TR soundwave as I prefer the silver on TR versions head and the red shoulder details.

Is the overall consensus on TR Arcee positive? I haven't really seen anyone say anything bad about this figure at all, aside from it being a bit bulky. I'm debating picking it up, but I need a little more convincing. I like the look, I like TR Blurr (the 1 she's made from, right?) but I wonder how posable she is. Pictures and reviews go only so far, and for the amount she costs now, I want to be sure.

I paid a lil over $50 on eBay for her in July 2019 and I'm happy with the purchase. But I'm a sucker for the Titan Master gimmick and having Ultra Mags head in the box sweetened the deal. While I don't have Blurr, I do have Brainstorm and all three are mold-mates. The transformation is solid, the wheels for vehicle mode roll well, and her guns are compatible with the T30 Arcee if you have her. The only thing I don't like is the Titan Master's face is shaped funny so her head can be finicky. She also lacks ankle-tilt but so does every other TR figure I have, I only bring it up as you wonder how posable she is. The top pic shows how the guns attach to the shield/backpack in vehicle mode and the middle picture has the shield/backpack stowed on her back. You don't need to remove it for transformation.

I bought her for $40 and she is quite good. Very solid, very fun, well painted, great molding, just all around good and fun

I got her originally but sold her off in April. She is a nice solid figure, but was my 4th version of the mold already and the front of the car always bugged me. T30 won out when I decided it had to be 1 or the other.
T30 also didn't so much flinch when ER was revealed.

Yeah T30 is high up on the list, my only problem with it is the black on the figure. Arcee never had any black parts on her so it kinda bothered me that it wasn't accurate. Gray isn't accurate either but it blends a bit better. So from what I gather out of the responses, a $50-range is acceptable for her, but no higher.

Any naysayers that deride her do so mainly because she's a retool of Blurr instead of her own new mold, which therefore means she has a new, more unique design instead of being a cartoon-accurate Barbie doll Transformer, when she still has all of the main qualities of the traditional G1 Arcee look (she just isn't a slim sexy super model anymore).
Which is why I went for the more cartoon-accurate Legends version of the T30 mold that nixes the black altogether.Rodimus Prime wrote:Yeah T30 is high up on the list, my only problem with it is the black on the figure.
