The chest piece on Magnus is removable, tight, but removable. No pins or screws. So conceivably you could have a plain cab chested PMOP.

Yeah, if I like this figure in-hand and decide to pick it up, that's what will most likely happen. But I have my G1 PMOP and like him very much. Looks-wise, it's still better than this, even if the articulation is inferior.

I think that base mode is wrong, how can it possibly connect to any other bases when the connector pieces are obstructed by the rest of the figure?

I just think it'd be awesome if there was a set somehow released that was Fort Max in his RiD color scheme, and he came with a repaint of Titans Return voyager Prime into RiD Scourge; since both the RiD Scourge, and TR voyager Prime are both based off of the g2 Laser Prime toy design.

Thing is, there's so many decos made for Fort Max and RID 2001... is the most obscure one besides the repaint I just found out he had in Robot Masters.
Grand/Brave Maximus, Headmasters-accurate Maximus and even IDW Maximus could be potential colour schemes.
-And yes, yes, I know IDW Maximus looks nothing like normal Maximus. Just putting it out there as a possibility.-
Heck, the SDCC decos tend to just be 'premium' versions rather than vastly different or ever representing a different character, never mind a very different deco from a completely different continuity - which, let's be honest; out of the continuities to go to screen, RID 2001 is the one that goes under the radar the most.

Personally, if there were to ever be any Black Convoy/Scourge toy to come with a toy of Brave Max/Fort Max, I'd want it to one that was small enough to fit inside what the dub referred to as the latter's Command Module so as to recreate the scenes from episode 34 that had Black Convoy/Scourge controlling Brave Max/Fort Max.

@Sabrblade: Yeah I guess that'd make a more sense scale-wise. Though, it would make a good excuse for them to release a 2001 Gigatron/Megatron and CW Hot Spot recolor into RiD 2001 OP two pack.

Releasing a little Titanmaster pack of RID Scourge redeco'd from Sentinel Prime or Voyager Optimus's heads would be cute - he could Titanmaster Cerebos, thus controlling the big guy.

(I'd adore a Megahead Megatron toy that can be an alt. head for Titans Return Maximus (properly this time!), but there's no way that's happening.)

Actually, a titanmaster Scourge wouldn't be a bad idea... or maybe they could repaint that new voyager Prime into Scourge, and then have the titanmaster just look like a small version of himself, so we can also swap his head with Cerebros' and it'd be a good homage? That'd be pretty awesome. I think that they are doing voyager Laser Prime mostly to do a Scourge, or "Nemesis Prime" as they'd probably call him to avoid confusion with the Sweep.

Just had (in my opinion) a genius idea; switch Magnus's hammerhead weapon with PMOP's regular actually-looks-like-a-convincing-gun weapon. Optimus gets his dual cannons that look identical to each other, and Magnus gets dual anti-son-of-a-b**** rifles! :michaelbay:
