Vangelus' Devastator review was March 29 this year.
As long as you've got something interesting to say it's never too late to do a review. Everyone has different views and opinions to offer on something.

I really like the sdcc version and although it'll be difficult to get it as I live in Ireland I'll be happy to get it.

That being said I prefer the cerebros head as opposed to the emissary head. And I want the cerebros head.

I would have included the Pretender Shell that was just re-released, repainted this entire thing, and given you Grand Maximus as the SDCC exclusive, but what do I know?

Would the new Cerebros mold even fit inside the Grand Maximus pretender shell?

Probably not, but I was just trying to state that I wish they would go all out on these things. I would want to get my hands on a proper color pretender shell even if it didn't fit.

Why not a "new" Pretender shell? I wouldn't hold my hopes up though. The window of opportunity for a Metrotitan is long past. Grandmax? A shot in the dark, especially for Takara.

Wait, why especially for Takara? I'm not a rampant "TAKARA IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN HASBRO" fangirl or anything but like, if either would be more likely to do it, Takara would seem the more likely one.

I do agree in general it's not gonna happen either way tho. I just get caught up on pedantic stuff like that

Does anyone remember how well Devastator sold last year? I remember a huge resounding 'meh' to the shiny purple from the fan base. I'm pretty much getting the same vibe from this SDCC exclusive as well.

I guess I shouldn't complain. By releasing something so similar to the retail version, I don't have to pay the insane markup to buy these on the secondary market.

Exactly! This will only further justify why the fans will pick SDCC's or Takara's Fort Max instead of the standard Hasbro version. I guess it works fine for them, since it's not the first time they have done this. When Trypticon is soon close to release, they'll offer a better painted version for SDCC a few months before their bland release.
