I fast forward past articulation part in videos I know what parts move by looking at pictures of figures which end is front end of his train mode are they both front end of train

I think the fact there isn't one, especially with these early releases, is indicative that's probably not a problem. Much like the comboners of CW, the head master connection has to be dead solid seeing as its the entire point of the line.

this is bad news. question? can i still purchase the SDCC 3 pack if i am not attending the con and if so where and when? i just love spending a premium price for a single deluxe, a voyager that sucks and a figure i already have..

Yes, there is a chance. What is not sold will be sold on Hasbro toys shop after the convention.

Well, I'm liking what I'm seeing. I am very much looking forward to the line. Astrotrain does look spectacular and I don't think I'll be disappointed, especially since he is one of my all time favorite cons!

And my Voyager Brainstorm will do very nicely. I didn't want the deluxe that bad anyway.

I'm personally a huge fan of the gimmick and I see giving the gimmick to those who never had it before as being like Optimus Prime becoming a Powermaster, Bumblebee, Grimlock, and Starscream becoming Pretenders, and most early G1 characters becoming Action masters, all in G1. I'm trying to say that I don't mind it too much.

I took another look at the 1988 Powermaster Optimus Prime, and I can see where the beige-gray coloring for the trailer comes from now. I appreciate that Hasbro did at least paint the "Powermaster/engine block" on the robot mode abdomen shiny silver, which is actually a nice nod to the Ginrai release from Takara, but a few more splashes of silver paint, such as on the pelvis, would've helped so much aesthetically AND increased the G1 toy accuracy as well. Though, I'm glad Hi-Q/Apex has blue eyes for the head and not red like the original toy. Sometimes G1 accuracy isn't the best route. Anyway, I'm warming up to this new Powermaster Optimus Prime, but I still might hold out to see how Takara does their "Super Ginrai/God Ginrai" version.

Yeah, I've got the feeling Takara's going whole hog to give us a God Ginrai instead of just Super Ginrai/Powermaster Optimus Prime. If so, it may convince me to double dip, using the Hasbro release as PMOP and the Takara-Tomy version as GG.

I like the look of Astrotrain's feet better in this video where he didn't rotate them around & just left them like Sentinels. Looks a lot less like clown feet that way.

Okay, so as much as I hate to have multiple figures of the same character, that Brainstorm looks so tasty, and it'll be nice to have him in scale with Perceptor so they can argue on my shelf.

Get the set and sell the ones you don't want. Since windblade is a new mold and the box set colors are different from the generations version I'm going to try to get it and pretend it's a different character. Brainstorm being a box set exclusive means that there will be more people selling her online hopefully cheaper too.
Making me probably the only person happy that he's exclusive.

But we need godbomber for god ginrai, though we do have that rumour about the deluxe.

Awwww. Shame Brainstorm is a con exclusive, would have liked to have him to fit in with the other 3. Still, glad I picked up the voyager now, so at least he'll exist in some form.

Do I have proof? Nope. But given how "exclusive" Takara Groove got an eventual release, no way will TT miss the opportunity to release another Brainstorm. Money is money. Mayhap it be retail and not an exclusive TomyMall. And a reverse for the domestic market too.

I wonder if G1 Cerebros (or even that Warden figure) is compatible with this Fortress? I know the G1 heads arent, but the big guy?

None are compatible. They can sit there (like any other object), but nothing locks in.

I wonder if Takara released Brainstorm with his mouth... and then Third Parties made a faceplated head for him.
Since it's just a head, that + TT Brainstorm probably wouldn't even end up scratching half of the SDCC boxset price.
