I just got an email that TR Leaders and Titan Masters will be arriving at BBTS within the next 10 days.

What are the batteries for?

Yeah, the ship date for these is around June 25th in North America. I am really curious if the big box retailers will have these in stock at the same time as the online retailers.

Optimus didn't have a Powermaster partner before...or some "giant brick mode". 1988's Optimus is junk.

He didn't have an extra trailer with gimmicky "extra giant brick mode". God/Apexbomber is junk too.

Missile launchers? Sound box? The trailers BLACK? Junk, junk, double junk?

And what the hell is this?

Yeah, it's not like the franchise as a whole has been structured around change, or continuously implementing gimmicks to core characters, or just changing everything up as a whole (armada anyone )

I mean, way I see it... if characters being changed into Headmasters when they weren't before is too much for you, that's fine. Everyone's entitled to their opinion and disliking something for a certain thing is totally alright; especially if it is in some way intrusive - in this case, the headmaster robot mode kibble maybe ruining the visual effect too much for you. Personally I'm fine with it, but a lot of people might not be and that's cool.

Decrying the entire toy and it's entire toyline as junk and terrible just because you don't like that one thing... hm. Sorry, but I'm not quite seeing that.

I would doubt it. HTS doesn't usually get these guys until about 2 months after they begin shipping (usually, emphasis.)

I was hoping that there would be a way for his head to stay in the socket the whole time without ruining his other modes. Nevertheless, it's still a great figure, and I'll definitely be picking Astrotrain up.

Yeah, she's redecoed from the Robots in Disguise 2015 Warrior Class that has only just come out.

I am fine about new gimmicks in old characters as long as it doesn't hurt the figure. TR Astrotrain's Titanmaster gimmick is fine to me because he looks good in all modes. Galvatron however has an ugly gray head with a purple plastic party mask on. THAT in intrusive. When a gimmick makes something look ugly on a figure I hate it.

I'm very curious to try these figures out myself. Its been a while since there has been a figure to buy in this price range. I've purchased all of the Combiner wars figures, so it's time we see some new options:)

Yep this new pmop is junk to me. It's a gimmick I don't particularly like and the nature of it spreading to other characters just saves me money because outside of the original headmasters I've no interest. You'd think some people work for the design teams the way they carry on.

Technically, PMOP can function without the gimmick. Because of the way the transformation works, you can fold the helmet into the cab with the Titanmaster still inside of it.

Very true. I've come to even accept the beige-ish gray plastic as well. It actually matches the original Powermaster Optimus Prime quite well. Sure, it could do with a few more paint apps, namely in terms of shiny silver paint on the pelvis, to match the G1 figure even better AND make the figure itself "POP" that much more. I usually prefer to go Takara for my Transformers stuff, but in this case, I may double dip. Hasbro's release will be PMOP, while Takara's, with its rumored retooling, will be Super/God Ginrai (with deluxe God Bomber, maybe?).
