Well, you're in for disappointment, I'm sure we'll be getting 6 recolors of Skullcruncher for all the alligator figures we (haven't) had![]()
WAIT... Soundwave is getting a TR mold with a detachable head... and Soundwave was an alligator in BW...
BEAST WARS MUTANTS SOUNDWAVE CONFIRMED FOR TITANS RETURN
SillySpringer wrote:Blurr for example, Hasbro would have to make a PRETTY BIG STRETCH to turn those into different characters
Titanmaster Deluxe Brainstorm will be a remold of Titanmaster Deluxe Blurr (new head, and adds wings).
There will be another Windblade figure, who is not a Headmaster.
Hellscream9999 wrote:Yeah, people seem to be passing it off after seeing only 1 wave of figures
Cool. I mean ice cold cool! But you'll probably have to paint his mustache too.Hellscream9999 wrote:So by the time I was interested in getting him, the artic deco was announced, which I was more interested in

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Never underestimate Hasbro when it comes to making the most out a mold.
Case in point, the most recent rumour from the transmissions podcast:Titanmaster Deluxe Brainstorm will be a remold of Titanmaster Deluxe Blurr (new head, and adds wings).
Also, while I was visiting the rumour mill (getting my weekly flour bag), I stumbled upon this:There will be another Windblade figure, who is not a Headmaster.
So for those who want non headmasters to remain non headmasters, well no worries, Windblade is getting issued again and not as a headmaster
Burn wrote:Someone mentioned in the CW thread about Computron becoming a Headmaster but it wouldn't happen because it would require a lot of retooling.
Looking at TR (got it right then Billy-Jim!) Blaster, it looks like the Titanmaster just plugs into a flat piece of plastic.
Can't imagine that would take much retooling on Scattorshot. Throw in some weapon Mini-cons and we have three gimmicks in one!

I scanned through that post and couldn't see anything about Blurr being retooled into any other characters. I also think a deluxe Brainstorm retool of Blurr is kinda stupid and not needed.

Its the last paragraph. I agree on it not being needed. But at least that means Canada might finally get a brainstorm on its shelves.

Well, that was me shooting it down, and I was basing it off the fact that there may not be enough clearance for the neckplate to accommodate the headmasters head-clips and such; but if the rotation joint is included in the headmaster unit (the headmaster's head must be on a mushroom joint - maybe one like cw cyclonus that can rock forwards and backwards maybe), I suppose it could happen - so long as it is more accurate to what it is trying to emulate, I don't care
Counterpunch wrote:(snip)Decepticon Sunstorm wrote:Not to defend the new-stuff haters, but that was when all of the GEEWUNers were still kids, so they would have seen it as a cool new feature.
First off, I don't think I was so obtuse as to be mentioned in the same breath as anything that could be considered a "new-stuff hater." Before most current board members were on their way to see the 2007 movie, I was taking up the sword and shield for RiD and Armada, two franchise elements much harder to defend that CW or TR, against a sea of G1 purists.
So I'll have no one on this board inferring any bit of close mindedness on my part.

Great, but you've already said that at least twice now. I don't have a problem with you sticking with him, but please stop proclaiming it every time TR Blaster is mentioned.
I base my comments on how I feet at the current time of posting. I don't keep track of posts I made a month ago. Maybe if Hasbro's choices for this character didn't suck so much, I would have something more positive to say. Not only is it out of scale, they made him a freaking headmaster and a mini city bot just for the hell of it. My comments are no more redundant than the dozens of other negative comments made about this figure for the same reasons I stated. You know whats really getting redundant?
You singling out my comments among an entire sea of negativity.

Or they just sacrifice articulation for a gimmick.
Wouldn't be the first time articulation has been neutered because of a gimmick.

I'd say it would be fun to have a Amazon twin pack style gift set with a Megatron Croc with an Optimus Bat in the set.
They they can just slap City of Steel Optimus in the main line so there is some sort of Optimus Deluxe toy.

Like I've said in other threads, it may be time for me to move on. I keep tabs on this thread, hoping to see something that makes me feel different, but I don't.Plus, with more and more children showing up on the threads (sorry, if your under 25, I now consider you a child), I'm starting to feel like the creepy old man, trying to hang on to his youth.
If you like Headmasters and want to see perfect G1 homages to them, then I recomend you keep a lookout. Hasbro is going to be giving 3p a run for its money, wait and see.
