And Takara will undoubtedly go proper blitzwing colors so it's a win/win as far as I'm concerned.
I want an inexpensive Blitzwing, and so do most fans. Blitzwing's a more popular character than Flywheels here in the U.S., so I would imagine more that Blitzwing would be turned into Flywheels for the Asian market.

Bit out of left field, but there's many reasons for this - he's an amazing villain and I'd love to see IDW use him (bit biased), there's probably an MP BW Megatron coming so he'd have a toy to advertise, AND it means that Hasbro can be pleased having a guy called Megatron as the villain so they don't feel tempted to tell IDW to switch Automegs back.
YES TO THIS. They've brought so many other BW guys into IDW it would be a shame to not have him. They could rename him, or they could say he looked at the war records and chose to rename himself similar to BW Megatron in the show, just find a way to include his magnificence. And his rubber ducky.
I back this as well. I definitely would love this.
Megatron from Bast Wars was not the Megatron from G1 btw. He called himself Megatron after the old Megatron he idolized. Having a Beast Wars Megatron in the comics along with the original Megatron might in fact work. Who knows? Galvatron might even become dino Megs.

I mean to be fair, so far we've literally just seen one Voyager repaint in the whole line. Every other Voyager mold in TR so far has no re-use that we can look at and judge. And... well. A line including both recolours and retools is not unheard of. Kind of happens all the time, actually. I don't quite see a single figure (Astrotrain) as proof of retooling for a figure not being done.
I'm not just using Astrotrain as a basis for my belief, but the overall track record of Hasbro, and my gut.
The track record of Hasbro whose Voyager waves in the last line - note, the line most heavily laden with mold redecoes possibly more than any other - consisting of...
Silverbolt - Cyclonus (Major retool), Scattershot (Major retool)
Optimus Prime - Motormaster (not-quite-so-major-but-still-much-more-than-a-new-head retool), Battle Core Optimus Prime (new head Retool)
Hot Spot - Onslaught (Retool)
Sky Lynx
I know, I know; Timelines, G2 Boxsets, Victorion yadda yadda but this is just concerning mainline releases since that's what our conversation was concerning. So if possibly the most redeco-heavy line in Transformers history has, for Voyagers, a single new head retool while all the others are larger-scale retools... I'm not really seeing your point.

FYI Overlords Power Master gimmick wasn't integral to the transformation. All the Powermasters did was pop out some breast guns

You're preaching to the choir, kiddo.
Except Galvs wouldn't become Beast Megatron because he's dead, Jim.
Kurona wrote:For those of you that have experienced all of Wave 1 - the four deluxes, two leaders, two voyagers, four titan masters and maybe fort max - what would you say is the best of that wave? Taking into account value and what you get for your money (so like, while obviously Galvatron is a bigger and more impressive figure than Blurr, Blurr might still be considered better because you get more out of him for 16.99 than you get from Galvatron for 23.99. Just an example, not saying it is the case)

I love the mold and it is so solid and fun to play with. Easily for me the best bang for the buck, though with how many times I take Rewind out and pretend he's my MP3 with the earphones plugged in and everything, Rewind does come close

Rewinds great, but blurr needed some paint before I pay anything close to retail for him

It's still an awesome mold, and the lack of paint to me was less jarring in hand

Man, he was just too teal in hand for me, like he was wearing a very unfashionable one-sie
You gotta get Clobber for Hardhead, the paint matches so well, it's scary - yet awesome

Yeah, I tried, the promotions didn't double up, and I would have paid over $10 in shipping and taxes, so it didn't matter if I got the 10 off in the first place, so I said screw it, I'll wait 'til they have an actually good sale

They didn't?? I've never had that happen before...

Actually, I tried the code and it still works. I didn't go through all the way with purchasing since I couldn't get up to $50 with the code to get free shipping. But I don't see why the transaction wouldn't go through. I didn't read the fine print, so I'm not sure if the sale ends today or if they're just slow with updating their system. If you have enough stuff, worth a try.
