With a few tiny exceptions, I just can't see how this will be storied in. Hardhead is dead, Skullkruncher is a comedian, all the regular headmasters are on the lost light and there is no intent to do another crossover in the near future. IDK man

Not to mention Galvatron's disdain for Headmasters and Combiners in general and (I'm assuming) Sentinel Prime's apparent death at the hands of Megatron in Megatron: Origin.

You can live without a gun we already wen't though it with Foc Soundwave and his repaint,
If you can't use the masterpeice Soundwave gun if you have it.
There's no way the masterpiece gun will fit. This new Soundwave seems to have a 5mm circular gun handle. The masterpiece has a rectangular handle. That's really not a viable option for replacement.
Randomus wrote:I think it ultimately comes down to proportions and mass. Hear me out:
The G1-accurate cassette deck is basically all torso. The robot mode of the classic toy is fine for the time, but if a figure came out with those proportions in 2016, so many tables would get flipped that the combined force would slow the Earth's rotation.
If Soundwave is to have limbs properly sized to his torso, he either needs large speakers on the sides (this and Titanium) or the back of a vehicle (WFC/FoC).
I guess what I'm trying to say is, we either give up a proper robot or a proper alt-mode (or we get MP-level complexity and pay for it accordingly).

Cheap?
Dude it's a plastic gun that only die heard fans are going to want/miss I don't particularly care.
I would be more alarmed if he did not have his shoulder cannon.
Let's be grateful a Soundwave that turns into a music device is being made at all.

SP was probably in the CR chambers ala life support in human terms. And Ratchet somehow forgot(?). Just like Tailgate was forgotten under debris for millions of years?

Red visor, for one. The knees caps should be silver, as well as the insides of his lower legs, his chest needs some gold line detailing on either side of the tape door, the shoulder cannon desperately needs red detailing on the missile pods, and maybe put some silver on the small triangle in the middle of his helmet crest like on the MP, just to bring out some of the mold detailing and break up the predominant blue on the top of his head. Finally, make the blue plastic a few shades darker. Soundwave is DARK blue.

So what your saying is if a toy doesn't have fifteen dozen different paint apps devoted solely to minutiae and unimportant (insides of the lower legs? Not even Takara paints those in), than it's horrible? II mean, I like paint apps as much as the next dude, but that list is kinda stretching a little. Plus, given the fact that this is intended to be a brand new form for Soundwave, his visor doesn't have to be red.

You got some things mixed up here. Here's the complete list of the Titans Return line, per size class:
Titan Masters Class
Crashbash (Squeezeplay)
Loudmouth (Siren)
Nightbeat
Terri-Bull (Horri-Bull)
Legends Class
Ravage
Rewind
Autobot Stripes
Deluxe Class
Hardhead with Furos (Duros)
Skullsmasher (Skullcruncher) with Grax
Blurr with ???
Voyager Class
Galvatron with Nucleon
Sentinel Prime with Autobot Infinitus
Leader Class
Autobot Blaster with Twincast
Powermaster Optimus Prime with Autobot Apex
Soundwave with Soundblaster
Titan Class
Fortress Maximus
Trypticon (Fan-Vote)
Voyagers and Leaders have helmets that go over the Titan Master heads.

Nope, but if the mold were better, the lack of paint apps (and the lack of a proper gun) would be more forgivable. You know that saying about lipstick on a pig? Well, sometimes you CAN put enough make-up on a pig to make me bite. The mold will still be flawed, but great paint apps will ease that problem quite a bit for me.

Or we could just get one similar to his G1 self in terms of transformation but with an increase in articulation. They seem to be doing that with Hardhead, Skullsmasher (I forget what they are calling him now) and Blaster. Actually, this toy would have been pretty good if his legs were smaller. Then the sides could be smaller than the chest area and be more different than Blaster in alt mode, being a giant tape deck rather than a giant ghetto blaster (wait, do you need circular speakers to be a ghetto blaster?). Though he wouldnt be as good a base (then again, they could simply have either telescoping or layered panels that would fold out to make some ramps).Burn wrote:I'm seeing smoke on my screen! will you stop burning down the house!!
