The knees caps should be silver, as well as the insides of his lower legs, his chest needs some gold line detailing on either side of the tape door, the shoulder cannon desperately needs red detailing on the missile pods, and maybe put some silver on the small triangle in the middle of his helmet crest like on the MP, just to bring out some of the mold detailing and break up the predominant blue on the top of his head. Finally, make the blue plastic a few shades darker. Soundwave is DARK blue.

Fair enough; that's quite a lot of missing app's actually - although I'm not surprised

I'll most likely buy it. So, I'm wondering what is the fiction here? Is this a giant version of Soundwave with regular Soundwave as the head or is this regular Soundwave with a mini Soundwave in him? I never understood Targetmasters or Headmasters fiction.

Anybody remember seeing a clear shot of Twincast's head mode sans helmet? I'd like to see how they compare.

Blurr looks cool but he does need paint. As for Soundwave, I LOVE it. Soundwave is my favorite decepticon and I'm very happy with this version. The clear tape deck is awesome and I think the wide looking visor is due to poor photography. I'm really looking forward to this release.

They kinda cheaped out with Soundwave's "Mini-Me" there. Having the speakers on the legs is just all wrong. It doesn't even match the "Transtector" remolding.

This is why I love when hasbro makes figures cause Takara has been recently just fixing their mistakes and lets see how much of his mistakes gets fixed by takara

damn soundwave looks pretty lame, hope he looks better in person cause i was really looking forward to him. Blurr on the other hand looks awesome, so glad hes a deluxe was worried he was going to be a voyager

PS: Here is the difference between the base modes, Soundwave's is blue and has an extra gun.



In general, while I would love to have a soundwave to go with my leader Megatron and Sarscream, the fact that there is nothing new with the base mode, and that it really looks like Blaster redeco'd (and less interestingly too with the alt mode), makes me think I will instead just get Blaster and have him battle Megs and Starscream and that will be that. FOC Soundwave is still the main classics soundwave as far as I am concerned for my collection.

I am still glad he is getting some love,but as with leader Megatron, one version of this mold is enough and I will go for the superior one.

I am looking forward to this guy as my collection is currently without a Blurr at all! I skipped the Classics/Generations version as I thought he looked to thick and clunky (I thought it was a sweet Drift, however), and the Animated version was never on my radar.

This is a great and terrible day for me. That Soundwave looks like a tonne of fun which I WILL own, but is SO not the size class I need.

Not sure yet. The line's not out yet and any fictional depictions haven't come about yet. We at a "wait and see" point right now.

This looks awesome. I want to pass on him since I will get Blaster and I love my FoC Soundblaster as my version, but I am very tempted now.

Will, I love ya man, but are you really gonna skip this guy because he doesn't turn into some antiquated piece of tech that has been obsolete since the late '90's? (maybe more or less)

Man, I bet kids today don't even know what the heck a tape deck is, soundwave at least looks like an ipod docking station/speaker system now; remember, hasbro has to stay at least a bit relevant, soundwave was always going to be the problem-child (after G1 megs of course) with his pointless alt mode...

Seriously, I get the dislike of hasbro putting the base gimmick into these guys, but this is going to be awesome when we see pics of all the accessory bots chillin' in a base comprised of Fort max, Blaster, Soundwave, pm/op, and others, I can't wait

Well, it's true - we all knew Blaster would be repainted as Soundwave for Titans Return. Will those who have MP Soundwave feel the need to buy this one too? Not sure. The proportions seem off to me. I guess if they come out with a bunch of cool cassette legends for him, that may change some people's minds.

Well, that's the thing... They will, but the bird and big-cat molds both seem to suck pretty f'ing hard, the cassette-bots are pure win though, so I'd say no, they won't 'need' to buy this one, but they may for their own reasons...

I know we don't worry about scale too much, but a boom box that transforms into a base is pushing it.
