Takara Tomy can't do Brave series figures anymore right? If I'm not mistaken when Bandai bought Sunrise they got the rights to the Brave series and have been making figures from it for a while now. So that would mean no Shadowmaru.

Around three years or so ago, Takara released their classic MightoGaine figure. Iirc it's was also a Sunrise production. Artstorm also released both Dorvack and Roadbuster versions too. So unlike the Gobot situations with Bandai and Takara/Hasbro there may be a little wiggle room for such a thing to happen again.

It's an even split between TakaraTomy & Sunrise/Bandai, as the former owns the toy designs, while the latter owns the animation ones. As of right now, Bandai has released Chogokin (Soul and Super Robot) of Might Gaine and GaoGaiGar, and Kabaya, usually partnered with TakaraTomy, has released model kits based on the original toys. Earlier, there were reissues and even a Masterpiece release.
So yeah, it's possible, just not so likely. Maybe when they're feeling cheeky

Do you mean the one from 2005 from the Brave Revival Legends line? I wonder if they were simply capable of doing that because it was a reissue? That may not mean they can do a new figure.
Artstorm also released both Dorvack and Roadbuster versions too. So unlike the Gobot situations with Bandai and Takara/Hasbro there may be a little wiggle room for such a thing to happen again.
Dorvack was produced by Asashi Production and Fuji TV, Takatoku owned the toy line until Takara bought them so they own the rights to both Dorvack and Roadbuster which they licensed out to Art Storm.
I don't know, doesn't seem likely to me that they'd be able to make a new Brave figure, not when they've done spiritually similar lines in the past like Transformers Go and the Tomica HyperCity Rescue White Hope and add-ons.

Though kinda confusing but iirc, the "Roadbuster" released as DX Autobots was made by Bandai and released as Roadbuster. Similar to Jetfire. They had the Bandai markings.
Oh those were the days indeed.
Also, CMs released their own official "Roadbuster". Too bad they went under. If they also released it in "Roadbuster" colors, I'd have taken him in a jiff!

Just to clear up some confusion I'm having, was this post meant to be a direct response to the one fenrir72 made right before this post of yours (the final post on the previous page with the image of the retooled Sixshot mold)? If yes, that wasn't Shadowmaru. That was Greatshot from Transformers: Victory.Emerje wrote:Takara Tomy can't do Brave series figures anymore right? Takatoku Toys was bought out by Bandai, not Takara, in 1984. Those molds (DX Insecticons, DX Autobots, Jetfire) did not see Japanese TF release, and probably never will, due to fact they're direct competitors, always have been. At the time, Bandai wasn't a big player in the US, plus Takara and Hasbro weren't as "close" as they are now, so Hasbro could reach out to Bandai (and other companies) for licensing molds to bulk out the second year of Transformers (like Tonka did for Gobots. Shame on you, Bandai!) Nowadays... you get the idea.
Back to Sixshot, so we got several possibilities for retools of the guy: Great Shot, the rumored Quickswitch (which could net us Sixknight), Brave's Shadowmaru. Any curve balls anyone can think of?

Greatshot will be a nobrainer! Hopefully not an Takaramall exclusive but a main release.

I'm sorry I missed this in my review, the tail fin pegs together quiet snugly so I missed the seam, but the tail fin on Voyager Prime can split open, allowing the tail section to sit flush on the back. It kinda, sorta, not quite, pegs into the wings.

oh i thought that cerebros had that detailing that revolver has. oh well
Titan Master molds are generally tied to (parts of) their larger partner. Meaning not only retools will have the same one (just with a different face), but also molds that share parts, like Blurr and Chromedome sharing the Stylor mold.
Revolver is indeed based on the Headmaster anime character Jack as explained before. Quite ironic, don't you think?
Is the symbol on Sixshot's head supposed to mean something?

It's kanji for 'six'. Pretty cute.

No, it’s the hip joint for the titan master legs. Xort has very loose hip joints, which I believe is due to utilizing only a friction joint instead of a pin.

I meant the knee of the TM, which is a pin. But the hip is also very loose. I slathered the thing with nail polish and it's fine now. Oddly enough, the TM's head is super tight.

The hip joint is the primary issue as that is what would keep the rear of the head flush if it were not loose. Optibotimus points out the lack of pin that causes the issue in his video review: https://youtu.be/6TacWTgVV14?t=6m28s

No no, I know who Greatshot is, I wouldn't make that mistake. It was in response to this:

I'd like to plead temporary insanity for suggesting Takara bought Takatoku.

Checking out Art Storm's website I see they actually licensed the Dorvack Mugan Calibur directly from the animation producer Production Reed. Makes sense since they're on good terms with Takara Tomy having produced both the Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo anime.

Now that I have Buzzsaw I'm really appreciating all the little details in his phone mode. Aside from just the decals, I find it to be very intelligent engineering that his feet become volume/power buttons on the side.
Still, I did find a slight inaccuracy - he has an earphone jack

My personal favourite phone detail on these toys is the power button on the rewind mold.

Just got my Hot Rod and Triggerhappy from BBTS today. Hot Rod is pretty nice, although mine has a floppy right wrist and the neck clamp is designed similarly to Scourge's, which makes me think it'll loosen pretty quick. Outside of that though, he's a lot of fun. Great car mode, pretty impressive paint apps and miles better than the classics Hot Rod. Triggerhappy is one I don't even have complaints about. Fun transformation, great sculpt and posability, limited but well distributed paint and a great head sculpt. Plus cannon arms! I'd recommend both these guys for anyone on the fence, especially Triggerhappy. I can post pictures if you guys want later, I'll away from my computer for a while.
