I just got a TR Soundwave a little more than TKMAXX Leaders and a little less than Smyths - he's Kinda fun - though a bit loosey goosey joint wise in the legs.

I like him though - like a lot of people I've always been kinda fond of Soundwave so it's always nice to have a new one in the blue colours.

Heck Knows how long it will be before I can find him some 'cassettes' (data Pads) - but at least pairing him with Buzzsaw feels very traditional.

I think he's a good starting point toy one that in a manner of speaking you can "dress up" (so to speak) by buying new things to go with him and complement him.

Getting Megatron regardless for my lost light shelf. I'm curious if I WILL then get the eventual blitzwing - I have the dr Wu upgrade kit for the previous voyager blitz and that improves the figure immeasurably. Still, even if it is clearly blitzwing, this Megatron has a very good idw look to him. He makes more sense on a LL shelf than cw leader.

Prime is an easy skip in favor of octane. Man. For all the prime toys we get I have yet to find one I like enough to keep. Maybe I regret selling the original voyager classics prime, that's still the one I like best. Pmop was fun, but the ugly gray allowed me to flip him without any remorse.

Mastermind Creations has a Megatron (Tyrantron) coming out that is almost identical to the Lost Light version, however it will probably be another six months before it's actually out, and will probably be at least a hundred bucks...which is why I'm gonna get the TR version.... Oh well, at least it will look better than the Nerfatron I currently have....

What size is MMC Tyrantron anyway? He's absolutely beautiful but I'm not sure how well he'd scale.

Either way I'm going with TR Megs for LL. Even if he's not completely accurate I still use more inaccurate guys than that like TR Chromedome.

Very nice. I'll be happy with tr megs. 3p rarely appeals to me between body and design.

YOU A-HOLE! That thing looks PERFECT!

Ok, first up about that Megatron v Tyrannatron. I'm still on the fence about TR Megatron (Blitzing look for Flywheels head depending on it), but I do want that Tyrannatron. That thing is beautiful and exactly what I want for my Lost Light shelf. Price depending, I do want to scoop him up.

I really wish TR Megatron had better stickers and maybe some more paint. Plus, this is the second Megatron now that has chest decals that don't really work considering the sticker's background.

TR Megatron? Not sure if that would work all that well...

It wont be a perfect replica, but get the tarn face on shapeways, paint him black, peg his two guns together, it'll work for me.

Alot if my classics are in updated bodies, tarn will be no different. Cheaper than trying to get ghe mmc one and making him from megatron seems poetic.

TR Deluxe wave 2 has hit Georgia outside of Walgreens. I nabbed all 4 wave 2 guys at a Walmart in Union City. There was one Chromedome short of a full case, so when I left they had one each of Highbrow, Wolfwire, and Mindwipe. That was Wednesday afternoon, no telling who's still there. But they're coming, people.

Also my BBTS order of TWINFERNO and Triggerhappy went through. I figured I'm probably not going to find them in stores before the $10 deluxe offer ends so I just bit the bullet.

I'm not sure I'd get it over Hexatron (as Hexatron is one of the best engineered transforming toys there is) but for what it is and the pricepoint he's at, it's impressive. The submarine mode is kinda clever, and he looks pretty spot on for G1 Sixshot. I like the name of the Headmaster too. A real shame they aren't properly painting the Headmasters though, that sculpting is begging for pigment.

So yeah, not for me but I can certainly dig him.

So base mode is just his tank mode. Perfect for me! He didn't need a forced base mode.

And he looks so awesome. I really can't wait to get him. I'm super stoked

I'm sure his hips/knees are a lot less needlessly fiddly than Hexatron's are.
and if you want some of Hexatron's swords you can get a KO with the same sword pretty cheap. (Not to mention they seem to include some iteration of a Drift sword with many of the Maketoys releases anyway).

Besides the Leaders usually get reduced pretty quick so when they is a chunk of the price knocked off he's a pretty good deal. he's certainly a darn site better value for money than CW Armada Megatron is.

He looks absolutely gooooooorgeous. After reading early IDW I've been starting to enjoy his character too... it's gonna be difficult passing him up especially at sale prices.

Yeah, I getcha. I just prefer how Hexatron looks, and his improved articulation. Just personal preference is all, not because I'm going "herp derp HasTak sucks 3P is always right". I also don't mind fiddly figures (I'm used to Figma) so there's that.

Actually, you know what would be cool? Titan Master Quintessons. You could have a Judge with 5 Headmaster figures that could be removed from the central hub and "take over" any TR figure.
