Kurona wrote:Well, the trope of 'overly violent rogue that eventually joins the main team and learns to turn it down a notch' has been used a few times in the franchise. Off the top of my head I'm pretty sure RiD 2001 Ultra Magnus and Armada Blurr fit that mold somewhat. And then there's some that never learned the lesson and were just flat out horrible; Marvel Flame and IDW Skyfall for instance.
I do like the idea, especially when you're attempting to show the two sides as not just ultimate good and ultimate evil. Throw in a bit of gray not just by making the Decepticons a bit more sympathetic, but also by making some Autobots genuinely bad and violent. I always thought the Monsterbots would work especially well for this...

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

You are in a nightmare scenario where you have to pick between TR Triggerhappy or TR Blurr (or Legends Blurr, or any of the Brainstorms or whatever version of the mold you feel is your favourite). Which one do you pick?
And no cheating by saying you'd just get another version of the toy you didn't pick!

I don't recall Blurr ever being called the best of the year. He wasn't even the best of his wave.

He was picked by several members of this site here: https://www.seibertron.com/transformers ... ask/37027/
Youtube reviewers were also claiming he was one of the best of the year

Huh, I just don't see it personally. It's an ok figure it guess, but I like almost every other tm figure better.

Personally, I think it's not too bad. For the engineering itself and sculpting, it's rather nice. But it's best in Takara colors...or as Brainstorm. Which I STILL don't have.![]()
...but I'm working on it.![]()
...anyway, still, Triggerhappy wins by a mile.

This right here kinda drives me bananas why not use the character who traditionally was a Sixshot repaint? Like it's cool that quickswitch is getting some love but it's such an odd choice.

Because perhaps more people give a darn about Quickswitch then a obscure Japanese only character that's not even that popular compared to say Six Shot or Overlord?
I'd say that Hasbro probably thought Quickswitch was a higher priority.
