Qwan wrote:Heads up that Premium Collectables (that Australian online retailer) has Siege on Cybertron listed for preorder! $150AUD with free shipping within Australia (and to America as well, it seems? They have some sort of promo code that looks like it'll allow free shipping to USA as well, but I can't test that for obvious reasons) - not a bad price just based on the individual retail value of the figures contained within, especially since that's about how much LG Ginrai is going for on his own right now.
So this also makes me wonder: is it their exclusive within Australia, or are they just selling-on stock that they're ordering in turn from BBTS? The page says "Hasbro Global Import", so I'm not 100% sure what that would mean in terms of where their stock is coming from. Either way, I get the feeling it'll sell quick and it's not like box-sets are the most common thing in Australia at the best of times, so I'd suggest any Aussies who want a guaranteed set to jump on it.
(Does BBTS even have their preorders up for the set yet? I find myself unable to navigate their website efficiently enough to find out, but I don't recall any news about it being listed so far.)
** HASBRO GLOBAL IMPORT **

Hmm..on second thought I'll wait on BBTS. At this point, I value good customer service. I also have a POL with BBTS in anticipation on this boxed set. Thx for the info though.

Qwan wrote:On a totally different subject, I have a request of any American collectors on these boards on the general route from Storrs CT -> NYC -> Philadelphia -> National Harbor MD. My family is currently on a US holiday and has graciously offered to pick up any TFs they find that I'm after, but at the moment the best they can do is check any stores they come across and hope they get lucky. So for anyone along the general route between those places, do you know of any stores near you that have the Wave 4 deluxes/TMs, any of Wave 5, or most importantly any Walgreens that still have Brainstorm in stock? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks a bunch guys!

That's quite a unique combination of cities to be visiting. As for NYC, there isn't too much in terms of what you're looking for. There is a pharmacy in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, Neergard, that surprisingly has a large toy store connected to it. Someone from another forum mentioned they had Seaspray and Cosmos for $11.99, $2 more than MSRP. I stopped by on Friday and they still had 2 Cosmos, but no Seaspray. Unless your family is staying nearby, it's kinda out of the way of most tourist spots. I haven't seen anything else you're looking for.
Lack of options is a big reason (along with price) why I do most of my shopping online. Is that an option for your family? Most hotels can accept packages. You could have most of that stuff shipped for near US MSRP all in. For example, Brainstorm is still available at Walgreens.com for $17.99 with free shipping at $35. Grabbing 2 (and sell one?) gets you there. TFSource has the wave 4 deluxes and free shipping at $150, while BBTS will probably have cheaper shipping if you don't want any additional "filler."
Good luck!

I wanna have a Warpath and Swerve for my Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage of TFs! Got the Warpath, but no Swerve! I wanna do a TFs Mythbusters spoof properly!

Re-issues of figures in general is something I'd love to see, and not just in overpriced Platinum boxsets which put waaaay too much value on boxart and paint. I mean it's good boxart and paint, but not triple-the-original-RRP good.
Besides, we've already got one lovely wonderful IDW character T30 Minibot re-released; why not another?

And this time with the "my first blaster"!
Okay, that'd be awesome, but not gonna happen.Adam Swerve can build his own "my first blaster" though.
Kurona wrote:Yeah, aside from a handful like Rewind they seem to have dropped weapons for Legends figures. It's the biggest problem I've had with them in Generations

Well that saves me some time. I was just about to reach out myself to BBTS Customer Service and ask...but I'm not surprised, BBTS rarely knows anything in advance, they still probably don't know the last 3 toys of TFSS 5.0 are all shipping together.
I'm in high anticipation of this set. Not so much for the releases as none of them are really high on my want list, but much more of...where/when it will pop up first, and how well will it be distributed

I cannot wait until Twintwist comes. The Wreckers are coming along very well! Though, Perceptor will go to the Lost Light shelf. However, Kup and Topspin will join the wreckers shelf, and after some though, Broadside will stay there too, even if he is a Lost Lighter. Wrecker and Rule first
Kurona wrote:Weeeell, you could always get a second Perceptor. And a second Whirl, even - ooh! You could use RtS Perceptor. Eh? Eeeeh?
That Ruination looks fantastic with the upgrade kit. I can barely see it and I love it.
And... man, Sandstorm really looks distinct from Springer to me. That's a fantastic retool, just wish there was a way to hide the tire shoulders as that's the only thing that really tells me he's the same mold.

I did too. But then I got into other Scout figures from the past to build a collection and realized that they rarely came with weapons. Few of the Cybertron Scout toys came with weapons and even fewer movie Scout class toys which people claim to be the best era for that class. So sadly, them not coming with weaons is quite typical for that class (even though it started as its main thing in Energon).
