seeing as it's now established that we're getting Sixshot, then why not Quickswitch?

seems daft that they're only giving us one Six Changer, without the other :-?

Yeah, but the new will be inspired by IDW Megs. So I guess and hope he has a Cybertronian alt mode.

But the leader was also IDW inspired, partly, to the point of having the extra stickers to give him swirls and an autobot symbol. And plus, he cant be fully IDW, this toy has jet kibble on his legs.

Yup. Black fins on the backs of the ankle area. As small as the fins on G1 Starscream's ankle/foot area.

And he had wings that came out of the back of his upper arms. I want to say they were grey, but I can't remember for sure.

Sounds very much like the Generations Blitzwing mold to me.

Why would they though? One does not imply the other; But I'd imagine that we'll be seeing a 'quickswitch' themed repaint of sixshot, probably the best you guys can hope for >:oP

Sure. I'm not sure what to say though.

It can't be Generations Blitzwing because there's no cockpit on the front. The crotch and stomach area is like a normal G1 look. And while the chest is flat, it looked very big to me. It made me wonder if it contains a gimmick we don't know about yet.

I didn't explicitly see that the headmaster was small, and fit into a larger helmet, but my guess is that's how it worked. The front top of the helmet stuck out further than the face by a bit. It didn't look bad, but it was noticable. I think the forehead had the letter M carved in it.

I think the body had red trim, but not much.

I'm not sure what else to say.

No they won't, it's been said several times in this thread that Hasbro themselves said that they will only repaint figures when it makes sense to.

but if your wrong! then i'm sure that you'll be on here protesting against even MORE repaints ect.

While we can only judge these things in hindsight (which it seems with all these reveals will be a lot closer to the present), hasbro has probably had enough of the feedback over the combiner wars line, even though it made sense to have repaints in order to emphasise the scramble approach. Shame so few actually cared about that, but that in itself is a discussion for another time.

In short, given what we know so far about this line, there's not many repaints that are lazy, even brainstorm deluxe looks quite good

Actually I don't think I've once complained about repaints on this thread, more to the point I have bought or will buy every combiner from the combiner wars/unite warriors line so you can put that accusation to rest. I could care less about repaints because I see them as a fun and easy way to get a bunch of characters out to the people that enjoy them.

As for them sticking to their word they are already proving that to be true. Out of the 20 figures that we've seen so far 13 of them are original molds, 3 are pretty extensive remolds, 3 are minor remolds and only 1 is a repaint. That's not including the titan masters and the rest of wave 2. And based on the rumors we'll be getting plenty more new and individual molds.

John Warden confirmed at Toy Fair that the reason Combiner Wars was so heavy in its reuse of the same molds and created new combining toys for non-Combiner characters was because the line was a gamble that they had a hard time selling to the top-office people. The heavy reuse of they same molds is what helped to ease the concerns those people had about the line, as doing so allowed the line to have a lot of product put out all at once using fewer steel molds. Those waves of 84/85 Autobots and things like Optimus, Battle Core Optimus, and Cyclonus were what helped to get the line OK'd in the first place, so they were a necessary evil.

Titans Return, however, apparently did not have such concerns to warrant the same kind of multiple mold reuse, as John further stated that Titans Return won't be a redeco/retool heavy. While thus far we've seen SOME redeco/retool action with the likes of Blurr/Brainstorm and Sentinel Prime/Astrotrain, his reassuring us that Titans Return won't suffer the same level of mold reuse as Combiners Wars did strongly implies that there were be more original molds in this line that won't need to be reused to get all the characters people want to get. Some might get reused, but not to same extent as those in Combiner Wars.

I count Laserbeak as the 1 repaint.
Brainstorm, Rumble/Frenzy, Astrotrain and Soundwave as 4 minor remolds and
PMOP, Chromedome and Fort Max as the 3 pretty extensive remolds.
Maybe you can count Stripes as a major remold, too.

It's unfair to count the cassettes in those numbers, given that they have always been redecos (maybe with a new head) of each other.

Shared engineering is NOT the same thing as a remold so I count Chromedome As a new mold and I consider brainstorm an extensive remold since the vehicle mode looks very different, that I guess is more in the eye of the beholder. But other than that you got the others right. Stripes is a new mold though too, not sure who you think he's a remold of?

I just meant that MAYBE some people count him as a really extensive remold of Buzzsaw.

Outside of sharing an alt mode with the Buzzsaw, Rewind molds Stripes doesn't look like them.

Stripes is a new mold and not a retool neither is Rewind.

Retools: Brainstorm, POMP, Fort Max, Rumble/Frenzy, Soundwave

Redeco/Repaint: Getaway, Magnus Prime (diaclone magnus homage), Astrotrain (he has nothing new over Sentinel Prime), Lazerbeak, as well as upcoming Blue Windblade.

Chromedome himself isnt a retool by any current definition, but is purposefully based off of the Dead End mold.

Could you list them, please? At least the remolds and repaints.

There's also the shared thighs and shared guns between Blurr/Brainstorm and Chromedome as a unique category to ones above. ;)^

To me, thats the same as shared wheels or other peripheral pieces. My main out look is how much one toy differentiates itself from another and having similar knees is deep down that list, even after the transformations being similar. But thats just me.

I thought everyone knew Chromedome was not a retool of Dead End by now? Similar engineering (infact, Dead End was only used for a proof of concept), but no shared pieces. Here are the details:

Is "Titans Return" Chromedome a redeco & retool of "Combiner Wars" Dead End? on BWTF.com

Even images for your convenience. :)
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Just a shared part. Like how certain CW figures have the same wheels and HFG.

Which ones do have the same wheels who are not remolds? Because then those are not shared parts.

And I just wanted to introduce something like "repaint", "remold", "retool" and so on.
