D-Maximus_Primal wrote:See though, that's kinda my thing about this: I like the wide majority of transformers with only little bits that are not as desirable as others, and it is a shame that we cannot get more a variety. With thrilling 30, we got some of that, with G1, beast wars, armada and such sprinkled in, along with many IDW inspired designs. I would love to see some more toys based off of TV shows, such as an updated Armada Prime, some new animated guys, even some updated beast wars figures and minicons that actually powerlink. I get bored with certain characters and themes, and while the IDW theme is nice with the G1 guys, there are also a lot of others that have been put into the comics, such as pretty much the whole of the beast wars cast. Not to mention we have popular new characters that have yet to get toys.
And unfortunately, what we fail to realize here sometimes is just how small our opinions really are. We outcry when it isn't something we want, but then it works cause pretty much everyone else loves it. RiD toys have done very well, and a lot of people on websites like this said they would fail and that they would never jump on them.
Also, with the whole ice cream analogy: Having a favorite flavor is good, but having it all the time makes it somewhat bland. Need to spread out more and get a greater variety to keep it from getting bland. That's why I like different toys, new designs (I am a movie fan and that is what got me here) new characters. Sometimes, we need to focus less on tiny characters that got a bit of time back many years ago, and focus on some newer ones that got much more time or are getting much more time but have yet to actually be made as toys.

I have never agreed with another person so much before.

Yes, it was called 'Generations' for a reason, when it came out it offered figures from various lines, BW, G1, comics, Armada... that was soon lost though, and the gen line blows for having done so

That's not true at all. When the generations line started it was nothing but g1 characters and then fall of Cybertron characters for the first 3 years of the line. The homages to other generations didn't start until thrilling 30 and even then it was only 10 figures. More homages will come but this is what they're focusing on right now, after prime wars is over I'm sure the line will return to it's regular scheduled program of picking random names out of a hat.

Universe 2.0, classics, gen, it's all the same thing - or not, guess that's why the gen line sucks and univ 2.0 was so awesome

Yes because highly detailed and articulate figures suck. Just because they're not directly pandering to your interests doesn't make it bad.

Because a Triple-Changer Jet/Lion thing is way cooler?

No, its because they are homaging the other 2 transforming alpha trion toys that were thought up before.

Fixed your link.
My point still applies, though.

I thought you were asking a question. You ended your reply with a question mark.

The rest of that image has both of Trions alt modes, and cross sells for Brawn, Chromedome, Astrotrain, and Soundwave.
