What flaw can he possibly have?

What a piece of **** he is.
You don't like him then?
No. I think he's terrible. He looks good in robot mode which is ultimately all I want him for, but I can't remember the last time I was this disappointed by a toy of any kind.
What don't you like about him?
Working from the assumption that "everything" won't be accepted, the stickers which basically are his alt mode are already torn, right out of the package. His tank mode is just dumb; if it were a fan mode I'd have found it cute, but it's an official mode that is so, so weak that I feel it's even too much to call it an afterthought. His body is ridiculous looking, with its giant forearms and tiny legs. His weapon is too small to look any good either as a robot weapon, and certainly not as a tank barrel.
I think he's garbage, but I think all the cassette-esque figures are junk from the looks of them. I'm not into Blaster or Soundwave out of this line, so for me, it's not much of an issue. Like I said, I only picked up Rewind because my wife thinks the Rewind/Chromedome story is cute. I do like the idea that his alt mode is basically a mini recorder though.

I suppose the notion that I disagree with everything you just mentioned could lead me in a different direction.
*Edit:
I seem to have stumbled onto one of those great "anything aside the official opinion is wrong" figures here. While I will say that it pleases me that you guys like him so much, I am not a fan.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm no fun, but I don't know what that means.
Like I said, I don't have any interest in the cassette figures other than Rewind basically because my wife thinks it'll be cute to have the two of them standing next to each other, which is an idea I completely agree with. I think that the animal mode cassette figures look totally bad, but I have no intention of experiencing them myself, so I'm not bothered by it.

I mean that Stripes would be way worse than Rewind since not much of the community seems to like Stripes. .-.
But if you just want it for the robot mode then maybe you could find a way to remove the other bit of the forearm because the forearms are crazy. I think it might look better.

Thirded. Rewind is a fail of a figure, all the new "cassettes" are fail. The only reason I have Rewind is because this cranky old conservative* has a soft spot for IDW's Domey and Rewind relationship.
*I feel the need to remind everyone that being conservative DOES NOT equal support for the Donald. Nor does lack of Trump fever denote support for Killary. America is ****.

Rewind is a fun posable bot and I've seen him bust a few breakdancing moves. I may get Rumble for giggles, but he'd always be in arms extended rumbling mode.

But for those not too fond of him, here is a positive spin on things that might make you appreciate him more.
Firstly, his altmode is a smartphone. You can tell due to the screen and apps found on it, along with that central button. You also have a nicely sculpted power button on the side and buttons to regulate sound level. While it makes no damn sense for this object to interact with a boombox, I see it as 2 independent things. Like in G1, they can git into Soundwave or Blaster, and for a new generation they have a totally new alt mode. Most of these toys already have the ultimate version of the G1 casette that turns into a bot with the masterpeice line, so doing that again would have been redundant (and inferior). So instead we have something new that new fans can enjoy too (and be lured to muahaha).
Rewind's third mode is better than most third modes out there. Sure as hell beats Gen Whirl's or Straxus' and I am thiking Energon Shockwave's too. I mean, it has dedicated parts such as the tracks. It rolls. It has ports for a minifigure to stand on. And best of all it homages both the fact that there were casette tanks in G1 and that Rumble/Frenzy/Eject/Rewind were minitanks in their previous classic version.
The gun is super narrow, yeah, but I do love the weapon storage in robot mode and I find it really cute how they were able to connect it in tank mode. Its not a plug but a hinge, thats pretty original.
And as for Robot mode, the forearms are not great (neither are Wheelies, its like Deluxe Brawl in terms of engineering, i would like a proper elbow) but there is the cool added detail of that camera on his head which gives him that extra MTMTE look. Dagon, let your wife know about that detail if she doesnt already, its a really nice touch.

I've found that TF hunting is a lot like looking for romance. It's when you're NOT looking for it, and NOT trying, that you're most successful at finding it. Or it finds you.

No, Rewind's alt mode is like a mini cassette recorder, like the kind you'd use in a college lecture. You can tell because of the mini cassette tape that's the primary detail on the stickers.
All the rest of this, I agree with. I have no problem with this not being a cassette or whatever, and I said before, I'm not in for Blaster or Soundwave, so the overall play pattern is one that I'm not personally invested in, but I hope it works, because I think so little of the cassette figures.
Rewind's third mode is better than most third modes out there. Sure as hell beats Gen Whirl's or Straxus' and I am thiking Energon Shockwave's too. I mean, it has dedicated parts such as the tracks. That's totally a matter of opinion, and I don't agree with that at all. Third modes on Transformers are usually pretty sketchy, and it's not like I'd be expecting a real homerun of one in a figure this size, but I'm really not at all impressed with the tank mode.
Also, Rewind and co turning into tanks isn't real an homage because there were other tank mini cassettes. That's like saying that current Bumblebee homages G1 Sunstreaker because they both turn into yellow sports cars. That would be, at best, a really, really, really loose application of the concept.
The gun is super narrow, yeah, but I do love the weapon storage in robot mode and I find it really cute how they were able to connect it in tank mode. Its not a plug but a hinge, thats pretty original.
I do really like the way the gun attaches to the tank mode. To be honest, I was looking for it to just peg in, and so the hinge thing was a surprise.

I do like the robot mode, except for the forearms, and I do like that the camera is molded on the head. My wife isn't that in to the details of the toy, but I appreciate it.

Thanks for your replies, but a flat out "no" is never a good way to start a post, especially when you don't have any official sources backing it up. It was said in hasbro interviews at events that the casete you see is just the background image of the phone's screen, giving it a g1 homage. As you can see below, not all of these smartphones have that background image, only some and it differs between hasbro and takara.

The point is that the casette design was confirmed to just be a background pic and not an actual casette.
Oh and Cobo, I am quite jealous. Did you never see the windblade wave? Because that one was supposed to come out before, maybe your stores skipped it knowing the toys repeat through the waves. I have a similarly themed haul I will take pics of later.
